Debuts:

So a random Malcolm Todd song from 2024 called Earrings is starting to trend, who I just recently found out is Audrey Hobert's brother. This has grown on me a bit since it first debuted hitbound. The production is pretty fun and vibey, and Malcolm sounds good. Not an amazing song, but still fun.

Ugh, we really did not need 2 Olivia Midrigo songs on the countdown. the cure is her most mid song to date. The production is super boring and basic. It starts to pick up towards the end, but by then I'm already fast asleep. At least Olivia sounds somewhat decent here.

Countdown Extra: SIENNA SPIRO - Material Lover

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It All [+10]

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Olivia Dean - So Easy (To Fall In Love) [-4]

Last year's #1 song: Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else (2/3 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Reneé Rapp - Leave Me Alone

Least favorite song last year: SZA/Kendrick Lamar - 30 For 30

Most missed song: Fergie/YG - L.A. Love (la la) (2014)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Dasha - Mad About It

Ariana Grande just announced her new album 'petal' releasing on July 31st, and we have the first single from it hate that i made you love me. This song is just alright. Ariana sounds good, the production is solid, but this just sounds very forgettable. Hopefully we get more upbeat songs from this album.

Omg, did Ravyn Lenae just release a great song for once? She's back with Handle after Reputation dropped out of hitbound last month. This has some really cool 80s style production and Ravyn sounds good here. This deserves to become a hit and become bigger than Love Me Not.

We have yet another new Knox song, this time it's Long Story Short. Long story short, Long Story Short is a yet another banger from him. It's not the best banger from him, but it's still a great song.

  • SIENNA SPIRO - Material Lover [4]
  • Bella Kay - Promise? [4]

Material Lover left despite being the countdown extra, and Promise was just mid.

hate that i made you blurb me:

We lost silent treatment and When Did You Get Hot. silent treatment was getting quite old and really needed to leave. And RIP to When Did You Get Hot. There goes Sabrina Carpenter's record-breaking streak of 8 songs in a row that went #1. And of course it happened on an actual amazing song from her.

Are iloveitiloveitiloveit, Babydoll, or Sexy For Me ever gonna do anything?

WHERE IS MY HUSBAND still refuses to leave. This might have passed Twenty One Pilots - Ride as the best performing #2 peaking song in hits 1 history. I still need to enter this week's countdown into CrownNote, and then I'll let you know in the comments.

Nice to see New Religion having a big jump. I thought it might flop again, but luckily it still seems to be doing well.

Mr. Know It All had a massive jump into the top 10 after only 3 weeks. I guess I'll take it.

Well, drop dead had a massive jump to #3. If it ends up going #1, at least it won't be her worst song.

Bro this is just getting ridiculous. I Just Might was the least played countdown song this week, yet it's somehow still #2.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
