Sabrina Carpenter (3) - Week of June 28, 2025

Ugh, how is Busy Woman still #1? It's time to bring back Sabrina the Clown.

Also, Bubby has opened up voting for round 2 of March Madness. Go vote, because last time there were only 3 votes and we need a lot more votes than that. https://bunnyfunny382929.blogspot.com/2025/03/march-madness-2025.html

Debuts:

The Jonas Brothers bring their second song on the countdown with No Time To Talk. This samples the classic 70s song Stayin' Alive. This is super fun and the brothers sound great as always.

Audrey Hobert has been announced as our new one to watch, and she debuts with Sue me. This is a fun little bop and she has a great voice, but this feels a bit generic.

Countdown Extra: Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tate McRae - Just Keep Watching [+13]

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Myles Smith - Nice To Meet You [-5]

Hitbound

SUPER-Hi/NEEKA - Following The Sun [4]

Lewis Capaldi - Survive [Debut]

Reneé Rapp - Mad [Debut]

Benson Boone - Mr Electric Blue [2]

Lizzo/SZA - IRL [Debut]

Twenty One Pilots - The Contract [3]

KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Golden [Debut]

Lorde - Shapeshifter [Debut]

KATSEYE - Gameboy [Debut]

Kesha - THE ONE [Debut]

Alex Warren/ROSÉ - On My Mind [Debut]

Jessie Murph - Touch Me Like a Gangster [4]

flowerovlove - new friends [Debut]

Alessi Rose - That Could Be Me [2]

All Time Low - SUCKERPUNCH [3]

Mariah The Scientist - Burning Blue [3]

Oh goodie, 9 debuts. Let's get started!

None of the debuts were that great this week. Case in point this song. Unfortunately, Lewis Capaldi is back to making music, and he's here with Survive. I can't stand Lewis Capaldi at all, and this is no exception. The production is actually decent here, it's not as boring as most of his music is. But his voice is so damn annoying. He's in full pencil sharpener mode here, and he's oversinging way too much. Let's hope this doesn't become a hit. But knowing Hits 1, this will almost certainly become a hit.

We have more Reneé Rapp this week with Mad. This is pretty fun, but it's not nearly as good as Leave Me Alone.

Lizzo just dropped an album out of nowhere, and she has collabed with SZA for a second time since that insanely forgettable song Special in 2023. IRL kinda slaps, and Lizzo and SZA both sound good, but this feels kinda forgettable.

We have some random song from an anime called KPop Demon Hunters with Golden. This is a fine Kpop song, but insanely forgettable.

Lorde has released her new album Virgin, and she's here with Shapeshifter. I listened to the album, and except for What Was That, it was an extremely mid album, which is disappointing. Lorde sounds good here, but this is just very boring.

KATSEYE are back with Gameboy. This is pretty fun, but feels very generic.

Kesha is back with THE ONE. I wish they would have picked up on ATTENTION instead, that was so much better than this. This is just extremely forgettable.

Great, just what we needed, a collab between 2 of the most overrated artists right now. Alex Warren and ROSÉ collab on On My Mind. Everyone seems to love this song, but this sounds extremely mid. The production feels very generic and boring, but Alex and ROSÉ do sound great together.

Ending off the new debuts, we have Hits 1 plant flowerovlove with new friends. This is pretty fun, but along with the other debuts this week, this is extremely forgettable.

Exits:

  • Ed Sheeran - Drive [1]
  • Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun [2] SOTW
  • Haven Madison - Castle [3]
  • Alex Warren/Jelly Roll - Bloodline [5]
  • Alexander Stewart - Here Again [3]
  • Tyla - Bliss [6]
  • Jon Bellion/Luke Combs - WHY [5]

Bloodline deserved better. Drive finds itself in the abyss. Fame is a Gun might be in the abyss as it left despite being the countdown extra. And the rest of the songs were mid.

2025 total dropouts: 98

Estimated total for 2025: 176 (+5)

Abyss

Ed Sheeran - Drive [1]

Tate McRae - Revolving door [1]

d4vd - Feel It [1]

Avril Lavigne/Simple Plan - Young & Dumb [2]

Damiano David - The First Time [5]

Shinedown - Three Six Five [7]

Maren Morris - lemonade [7]

Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER [8]

Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender [14]

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us [17]

Lady Gaga - Disease [21]

Harry Styles - Daylight [162]

I thought Revolving door would have reentered this week. I guess it's gonna rot in the abyss instead.

Blurbshifter:

We lost Sapphire and Feel It. I'm surprised Sapphire flopped so hard. But I think Drive might be the next single instead. Feel It was a great song but it was starting to fade on me so I don't mind it left. Also with Feel It gone, we have finally gotten rid of every song that was still on the countdown from 2024. I can't believe it took until almost July for that to happen.

Blue Strips has gotten quite annoying recently and now becomes my orange song. Listening to Jessie Murph's voice makes me want to slam my head against the wall.

Nice to see Just Keep Watching getting a huge jump.

Oh joy, Manchild is already in the top 10 and is probably gonna hit #1 very soon.

Aww, it's sad to see Sally, When The Wine Runs Out get blocked from #1. Maybe it still has a chance to reach #1?

Bro, this is just getting ridiculous and very clown-like now. Busy Woman was the least played countdown song this week, and it still stayed at #1. I'm convinced Sabrina is just paying Hits 1 to keep it at #1, that's the only logical explanation I can come up with. This really needs to leave #1 immediately.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

Ethan's Top 10 - Tate McRae (1) - June 27, 2025

https://www.crownnote.com/charts/zestpond/ethans-top-10-jun-27-2025

Hey guys! This week's debuts include Haiden Henderson's latest banger. Laufey's new song didn't take a month to grow on me this time. We have another banger from Papa Roach. Dylan's new song that Daniel showed me yesterday grew on me and skips bubbling under. Also, Tate McRae finally gets her first ever #1 on my chart.

Sabrina Carpenter (2) - Week of June 21, 2025

Hey guys! Well, I guess I should explain why you've been starting to see ads on my blog. For the past year, I've been trying to submit my blog for AdSense, but Google kept denying my request for some reason. Finally this week, Google accepted my request to connect this blog with AdSense. I guess I should explain why I decided to start running ads. Obviously, I don't get paid to write these posts. I spend a lot of time making these posts, and it's a few hours out of my day every Saturday when I could be doing other things with my life. Is it too much to ask for at least a little bit of compensation? I hate ads myself, and I always use an adblocker, so I've tried to make these ads as non-intrusive as I can. On mobile, there's one ad on the top of the page, and one at the bottom of the page. On desktop, there's one ad on the sidebar and one at the bottom of the post. There's no ads in the post itself, and there hopefully shouldn't be any annoying ads that pop up that take up the entire screen. I know ads suck, but they really help support me as I make these countdown posts. If the ads start to get to be too much, please let me know and I can try to tone them down more, or I can get rid of them entirely if need be. Alright enough talking, let's get started with this week's countdown!

Before we get to this week's fresh 30, let's say goodbye to the songs leaving the countdown:

  • Shaboozey - Good News [#13; 2nd time] {29w} PK: 5

2. ROLE MODEL - Sally, When The Wine Runs Out [+2] {12w} PK: 2 (1TW)

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman [=] {14w} [2 weeks at #1]

Debuts:

Both debuts make their way out of the abyss. First up is Tate McRae's song Just Keep Watching from the F1 movie soundtrack. This has grown on me a lot since it first entered hitbound a month ago. The production here is super catchy and Tate sounds great. This is now my third Tate McRae song I've put as my purple song, the others being It's Ok I'm Ok and Sports Car, so let's hope this doesn't fade on me hard like those 2 songs did.

Ed Sheeran collabs with some Indian singer Arijit Singh, who Hits 1 credits for some reason, with Sapphire. This is just aright. The production is pretty upbeat and Ed sounds good, but this just feels slightly forgettable.

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Alessi Rose - Same Mouth and Charli XCX - party 4 u [+5]

Damiano David - The First Time [2]

Apparently Alessi Rose is the next artist Hits 1 has to pick up on every song from. She's here with That Could Be Me. The production is pretty upbeat and she sounds good, but this is forgettable as hell.

We have yet another song from the F1 movie soundtrack, this time it's Ed Sheeran with Drive. I really like the alt rock production here, and Ed sounds great as always.

Benson Boone has released his new album American Heart, and here he is with Mr Electric Blue. This is another 80s synth pop song like Mystical Magical. This is slightly more forgettable than Mystical Magical, but it's still a really fun song.

The Jonas Brothers are back with No Time To Talk. This samples the classic 70s song Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees. This is super fun and yet another bop from them. Hopefully this does well.

Exits:

  • The Paradox - Get The Message [1]
  • Kehlani - Folded [1]
  • SIENNA SPIRO - Dream Police [3]
  • Crash Adams - New Heart [2]

None of these will be that missed.

No time to blurb:

We lost Good News and Sports car. Good riddance to Good News, it lasted way too long and did not need to reenter at all. Hopefully it stays gone for good this time. Sports car was also getting annoying and really needed to leave.

NOKIA has dropped to the bottom spot again and is now on its 10th week of being in the bottom 5. At this point I wanna see how long this can rot in the bottom 5 for.

It's a shame that What Was That has been flopping so hard, this deserved better.

I'm surprised What I Want is flopping so hard as it went #1 on Billboard and is doing well on Mediabase.

twilight zone can't make up its mind whether it wants to be in the top 10 or not.

Abracadabra really doesn't need to be all the way up at #3, it's getting quite old.

Busy Woman had a massive drop in airplay this week yet it still somehow stayed #1. Sally, When The Wine Runs Out jumped to #2 so I really hope it can overthrow Busy Woman from #1 next week.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

Hey guys! I've made some slight changes to my poll of the week. I will be adding it to the end of my countdown posts instead of my sidebar. I made some changes to the mobile site to make it more mobile friendly. As a result, my sidebar no longer shows up on mobile. So I decided to move it to the end of my countdown posts.

Before we get to this week's fresh 30, let's say goodbye to the songs leaving the countdown:

1. Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman [+2] {13w} [1 week at #1]

Debuts:

After it should have debuted last week, Easy Lover finally makes its way out of the abyss. This is fine. The production is pretty upbeat and Miley sounds good, but this is very generic. At least this is a lot better than End Of The World.

To no one's surprise, Sabrina Carpenter's latest song Manchild has debuted, but I didn't think it would debut this high. This is basically a carbon copy of Busy Woman, but slightly worse. We really don't need 2 of the exact same song on the countdown.

Hits 1 still doesn't know what it wants to do with Nice To Meet You yet, as it has reentered for a second song, and joins the 3 separate countdown run club. This song is still really fun and didn't need to leave the countdown in the first place a month ago.

Countdown Extra: Avril Lavigne/Simple Plan - Young & Dumb

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Ravyn Lenae - Love Me NotShaboozey - Good News, and Ariana Grande - twilight zone [+5]

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Charli XCX - party 4 uTate McRae - Sports car, and Alex Warren - Ordinary [-3]

Last year's #1 song: Hozier - Too Sweet (6/6 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Girl On Couch/Billen Ted - Man In Finance (G6 Trust Fund)

Least favorite song last year: Halsey - The End

Most missed song: Crash Adams - Sugar Mommy (2023)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Tiësto/Sexyy Red - OMG!

Crash Adams - New Heart [2]

Haven Madison - Castle [2]

Also Available On Survey

Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas - Blessings [3]

Damiano David - The First Time [1]

Twenty One Pilots are back with The Contract after that super boring song The Line dropped out of hitbound earlier this year. The Contract is finally another banger from them. The production is a bit weird but still amazing and Tyler Joseph sounds great as always.

All Time Low are back with SUCKERPUNCH. This is yet another banger from them and Alex Gaskarth sounds great as per usual.

R&B singer Mariah The Scientist makes her Hits 1 debut with Burning Blue. Yeah, this is quite boring and her voice isn't the best.

The Paradox are back with another pop punk banger Get The Message. Do Me Like That had a Green Day vibe, this time it feels more like blink-182. I really love the pop punk production here, but this feels more forgettable than Do Me Like That, but this could end up growing on me.

Addison Rae replaces herself with Fame is a Gun. This is a lot less weird and a lot more upbeat than Money is Everything, but is still very forgettable.

It's been a super hot minute since we've seen Kehlani on Hits 1. She was last seen 5 years ago when Good Thing with Zedd dropped out of hitbound back in 2020. She's back with Folded. The R&B production is quite boring but at least she has a good voice.

Lastly, we end with a rando because why not. Singer-songwriter Audrey Hobert, who co-wrote Gracie Abrams' album The Secret of Us, releases her first ever song Sue me. I can see the Gracie Abrams inspiration here because this does sound kinda Gracie Abrams-y. The production is pretty fun, but this seems very forgettable.

Exits:

  • Ed Sheeran/Arijit Singh - Sapphire [1]
  • Addison Rae - Money is Everything [1]
  • Benson Boone - Momma Song [3]
  • Tate McRae - Just Keep Watching [2]
  • Avril Lavigne/Simple Plan - Young & Dumb [5] SOTW
  • Joe Jonas - Heart By Heart [7]

I'm surprised Sapphire and Just Keep Watching flopped so hard, but they could enter the abyss soon. Young & Dumb left despite being the countdown extra. And the rest of the songs won't be missed.

2025 total dropouts: 90

Estimated total for 2025: 173 (+3)

Abyss

Miley Cyrus - Walk of Fame [1]

Damiano David - The First Time [3]

Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas - Blessings [4]

Maren Morris - lemonade [5]

Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER [6]

Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender [12]

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us [15]

Lady Gaga - Disease [19]

Harry Styles - Daylight [160]

Suckerblurb:

We lost Cry For Me, Bad Dreams, and Call Me When You Break Up. They were all getting quite old and annoying and really needed to leave. Bad Dreams somehow did better on the countdown than Miley Cyrus' Flowers, which is just insane.

Sports car went #1 on Mediabase last week, and it looks like Ordinary will go #1 this week. But they both dropped on the countdown this week.

End of the World got purged on Mediabase, so thankfully I don't see this lasting too much longer, as it looks like the much better Easy Lover is being pushed instead.

I'm not really too thrilled that Good News keeps on jumping. At least it's ranking in the all time ultimate rank points.

Nice to see Sally, When The Wine Runs Out in the top 5. This still has a ton of airplay, and I wouldn't mind if it hit #1.

To no one's surprise, Busy Woman has finally reached #1. I don't mind actually, because this is one of her more tolerable songs. But let's just hope this doesn't spend too much time at #1.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
