Hey guys! Well, the Olivia stanning has officially gotten out of control. Olivia has taken over Hits 1 for the weekend. And Hits 1 plays 30 minute intervals of nothing but Olivia music. This is just ridiculous. Not even Harry Styles or Taylor Swift got the same kind of treatment when they released their new albums. Why Olivia of all people? Well, I guess I won't be listening to Hits 1 this weekend.

Debuts:
We have the next single from Niall Horan's latest album Dinner Party, Tastes So Good. This is the "best" song from his album. But that's still not saying much. The alt production is somewhat interesting and Niall sounds good, but this is just extremely forgettable.
Speaking of forgettable songs...sigh, why are we making this next song a hit? Taylor Swift debuts with I Knew It, I Knew You from the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie. This song is mid as hell. This is supposed to be a country song, but it's way too boring, and even Taylor sounds bored singing here.
Countdown Extra: The Beaches - Edge of the Earth
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Ella Langley - Choosin' Texas [+6]
Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between STELLA LEFTY - Boston, Myles Smith/Niall Horan - Drive Safe, Noah Kahan - The Great Divide, & PinkPantheress/Zara Larsson - Stateside [-3]

Favorite song last year: All Time Low - SUCKERPUNCH

Olivia Rodrigo just released her new album "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love" and we have the next single from it stupid song. This is fine, I guess. It's better than the cure. The production is decent, but it starts to get interesting towards the end, and Olivia also sounds decent. This is just way too forgettable.
Geeze, I never thought I'd see the day when Slayyyter was on Hits 1. She finally makes her Hits 1 debut with DANCE. The synthpop production is super fun, and her voice is great. Hopefully this ends up becoming a hit.
Ok, what on earth did I just listen to, and what on earth is this collab? We have 3 Kpop girl groups LESSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE collabing ICONIC BY MISTAKE. This song is a bit of a mess, but still kinda slaps. The production is super weird, but weird in a good way. And everyone here sounds good. I don't see this becoming a hit, but who knows.
We have yet another old song debuting, or in this case reentering, from the Off Campus Amazon show. The Kid LAROI's GIRLS, which spent a whopping 2 weeks on the countdown back in 2024, has reentered hitbound, this time as a Kehlani remix. My opinion of this song still stands from the original. This song is super fun, and gives off early 2000s boy-band vibes. Kehlani makes the song even better. Hopefully this ends up reentering the countdown.
I was not expecting more Don Toliver on Hits 1, but I guess here we are. E85 is a solid rap song, and Don Toliver sounds good, but this is a bit on the generic side.
Lastly, we have more Akon, because we totally needed more from him. RINGTONE is solid. It's pretty fun and Akon sounds good. But this isn't nearly as good as Akon's Beautiful Day from 2 years ago.
Exits:
- Machine Gun Kelly/Wiz Khalifa - girl next door [4]
- Charli XCX - Rock Music [5]
- Kevin Jonas - Little Things [4]
- Ravyn Lenae - Handle [2]
It looks like all of these are going to be flops. RIP to Rock Music and Handle. girl next door and Little Things were mid.

Blurbs So Good:
We lost New Religion for a second time and Material Lover. Rest in piece to Material Lover. Of course her one good song is the one that flops the hardest. New Religion was amazing but it was starting to get old, and I'm not sure it even needed to reenter in the first place.
I really would have liked if Click Clack Symphony could have jumped more than 1 spot please and thank you.
OMG is Babydoll finally doing something? Maybe? idk anymore.
Choosin' Texas had a massive jump into almost the top 5...when it dropped to the very bottom spot in countdown songs airplay.
Still have no idea how I Just Might is still #3 when it was the second least played countdown song behind Choosin' Texas.
Can Dracula please be our next #1, before the Olivia stanning becomes too great?
That's all for now, see you all next week!
