Debuts: 

David Guetta, Alphaville, and Ava Max collab on Forever Young. This samples Alphaville's 1984 hit with the same name. This is super fun and everyone sounds great.

Debuting with 0 spins outside of hitbound and Sunday Besting is Damiano David from Måneskin with Born With A Broken Heart. At least this became the hit instead of that boring Silverlines. This is kinda fun but feels forgettable.

Lady Gaga brings us more glitch pop that she was best known for in the early 2010s with Disease. The production is fun and Lady Gaga sounds great but this feels very forgettable.

It's about damn time this finally debuted. LISA from Blackpink makes her solo countdown debut with Moonlit Floor. This samples Sixpence None The Richer's 1997 hit Kiss Me. This is super fun and LISA sounds great.

Debuting from the abyss is Taylor Swift's So High School. The production is very beautiful and Taylor sounds great.

We haven't had a Sunday Best since Aug 31 so I guess we were due for another one.

The Weeknd and Anitta collab on São Paulo. This is super fun and everyone sounds great.

Hits 1 picked up on a random 5 month old almost monday song called can't slow down for some reason. This is a fun little indie song and singer Dawson Daugherty sounds great.

Hits 1 stop picking up on every Jessie Murph song challenge (impossible). She brings her 11th song on Hits 1 with Sip. This is far from her worst but is painfully generic.

Moonlit blurbs:

We lost Not Like Us, Belong Together, Good Luck Babe, 360, and I Had Some Help. Not Like Us was great but Hits 1 always does rap songs dirty. Belong Together was fun but was getting kinda old. Good Luck Babe was good but was getting very annoying. 360 was super mid. And I Had Some Help was great but stuck around way too long, and by my calculations should be the Hits 1 #1 song for the 2024 year end list, but who knows if it will actually end up being #1.

The survey said there was supposed to be a new #1 song this week and every song on the survey was the same as last week, so I'm not sure what's going on with the survey. I'll post the survey once I figure out what's going on.

I am not okay with I Am Not Okay being in the top 10.

Dancing In The Flames made a big jump to #7.

Close To You really needs to go away it's getting very annoying.

Birds of a Feather is still #1 this week. Die With a Smile is almost certainly taking over the #1 spot next week though.

We really did not need more Midsey. She's here with Panic Attack. This is not interesting to listen to at all.

Lady Gaga is back with more glitch pop that she's known for with Disease. I usually love her upbeat songs but this seems kinda forgettable.

Akon is a name I haven't heard in a while. He hasn't been seen on hits 1 since Who Dat Girl in 2011. He debuts with Akon's Beautiful Day. This is fun and Akon sounds great as always.

Damiano David is back with Born With A Broken Heart and luckily this is a lot more upbeat than Silverlines. This is still kinda forgettable though.

Billie Eilish finally gets her first #1 on the countdown with BIRDS OF A FEATHER. This isn't the best song from her, but at least it's a lot better than her weird 2021 crap.
