Hey guys, and welcome to the 2025 Hits 1 awards show! Basically, I created a bunch of awards that I will be handing out to various songs from 2025. Some of the categories are serious, but most of the categories are just silly categories I made up. Alright, let's not waste anymore time and start handing out the awards!

The J CHRIST award is awarded to the song that was supposed to be the big comeback song from an artist, but ended up flopping hard.

The Heartbreak Anniversary award is awarded to the song that spent forever in hitbound and had a ton of airplay, but never ended up debuting the countdown.

14 weeks in hitbound, and another 7 weeks in the abyss, yet it never ended up debuting the countdown.

The Take What You Want award is awarded to the song that spent forever in hitbound, just to debut the countdown and flop hard.

Griff - last night's mascara

12 weeks in hitbound...just to spend 1 week on the countdown.

The Not Like Us award is awarded to the rap song that Hits 1 picked up on several months late then let flop hard on the countdown.

Kendrick Lamar - squabble up

Poor Kendrick has been robbed 2 years in a row.

The Next To Me award is awarded to the song that spent forever on the countdown, but never managed to peak higher than the bottom half of the countdown.

I think we all knew Nokia would win this award.

The Towa Bird award is awarded to the most forgettable hitbound dropout of the year

The If The World Was Ending award is awarded to the most random countdown reentry of the year.

I seriously still have no idea why this randomly reentered 3 months after leaving the countdown.

The Cruel Summer award is awarded to the song that Hits 1 picked up on too early.

The Give Me A Kiss award is awarded to the song that was huge on Hits 1, but wasn't a hit elsewhere.

The Austin award is awarded to the song that spent forever on the countdown, but never managed to go #1.

29 weeks on the countdown, and it only managed to get to #3.

The Daylight award is awarded to the song that spent the most weeks in the abyss.

Tie between How It's Done, Your Idol, and Soda Pop

18 weeks in the abyss...that's way too long.

The Unstoppable award is awarded to the oldest abyss song.

• Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?
• 4 Non Blondes - What's Up? (would have won, but it only spent 1 week in the abyss, so I'm not even sure if this was an abyss song)

Janet Jackson - Someone To Call My Lover

Why was there some random 2001 song in the abyss?

The Power award is awarded to the most forgettable abyss song of the year.

The Kelsy Karter award is awarded to the most random countdown debut from a random nobody.

This was a great song, but was this even a hit anywhere else?

The Jiggle Jiggle award is awarded to the shortest song Hits 1 picked up on, either in hitbound or the countdown.

The winner is...

Selena Gomez/benny blanco - Scared of Loving You

At 1:50 min long, this is actually the 5th shortest song Hits 1 has ever picked up on.

The Kelly Time award is awarded to the longest song Hits 1 picked up on, either in hitbound or the countdown. This is only counting songs Hits 1 didn't edit down.

AJR - The Big Goodbye

At 5:03, this was by far the longest song of the year.

The High Hopes award is awarded to the biggest song of the year.

At 158,720 points, this beat Abracadabra as the biggest song of the year by 12k points.

The KDrew award is awarded to the worst performing countdown song.

The Cuff It award is awarded to the least deserving song on the top 30 year end list.

Taylor Swift - Opalite

This was by far the least deserving song on the top 30 year end list. When the list first came out, it had only spent 7 weeks on the countdown peaking at #6. But by the time the year had ended, it had gone #1. So I wonder if Hits 1 knew all along that Opalite was going to reach #1, and didn't want a #1 song to not be on the top 30 list.

The Lights Over Paris award is awarded to my favorite hitbound dropout of the year.
