Debuts:
Ugh, all the debuts this week were super mid. Starting off with Teddy Swims' latest song Mr. Know It All. I mean, the production is pretty upbeat and Teddy sounds good, but there's just something about this song that seems forgettable. This song could end up growing on me though because it's grown on me a little since it first entered hitbound.
STELLA LEFTY finally makes her countdown debut with Boston after Thinking 'bout You dropped out of hitbound. Honestly, I liked Thinking 'bout You more. Boston is just forgettable boring country crap.
Lastly we have a collab that sounds good on paper, but failed in practice. Tyla and Zara Larsson debut with their collab SHE DID IT AGAIN. The production is way too repetitive and doesn't evolve at all. Tyla and Zara sound decent, but there's weird high pitched effects on their voices in the chorus that feel completely unnecessary.
Countdown Extra: Meghan Trainor - Shimmer
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Harry Styles - American Girls [+10]
Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Taylor Swift - Opalite [-7]
Last year's #1 song: Lady Gaga - Abracadabra (4/6 weeks at #1)
Favorite song last year: Lorde - What Was That
Least favorite song last year: Jessie Murph - Blue Strips
Most missed song: Miguel/Travis Scott - Sky Walker (2017)
Recommendation for Hits 1: Kate Cosentino - Now $ Later $

Wow, this is a collab I never thought I would see. Madonna has collabed with Sabrina Carpenter on Bring Your Love. The dance pop production is fun and Madonna and Sabrina both sound great here. Hopefully this ends up becoming a hit.
Wait, what is this? A SIENNA SPIRO song that doesn't make me instantly want to fall asleep? She's back with her song off The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack called Material Lover. The production is surprisingly upbeat and SIENNA actually sounds good. But this is a bit on the forgettable side. But I guess I wouldn't mind if this became a hit.
Really, we're making deluxe versions of 2 year old albums now? Halsey just released a deluxe version of her 2024 album The Great Impersonator, and she brings us Carry the Weight. The rock production is solid but a bit too forgettable but at least Halsey sounds good here. She's always at her best when she makes rock songs.
Ok, we really did not need more Alex Borren. He's back with FINE PLACE TO DIE. Yeah, the production is way too boring, but at least it picks up towards the end of the song, but Alex doesn't really sound that great here. Hopefully this doesn't end up becoming a hit.
Ella Langley replaces herself with Be Her. IDK, this sounds exactly like Bottom Of Your Boots. More forgettable country crap.
Welp, I wasn't expecting more Maroon 5 this year, but I guess they have to have at least one hitbound dropout per year. They're back with Heroine. I mean, the production is pretty upbeat and Adam sounds good, but this seems a bit too forgettable. But this could grow on me, who knows.
Bella Kay is back with Promise. Yeah, this is pretty boring. iloveitiloveitiloveit is so much better.

- Demi Lovato - Low Rise Jeans [2]
- Weezer/Best Coast - Go Away [1]
- Ella Langley - Bottom Of Your Boots [3]

Low Rise Jeans and Go Away deserved better. Nothing else will be missed.

Fine place to blurb:
We lost Dinner Party, Younger You, and New Religion. New Religion deserved better. Dinner Party and Younger You were so mid I don't even remember what they sound like.
RIP Sexy For Me.
iloveitiloveitiloveit finally escaped the bottom 5...just to end up in the bottom 7.
How is Elizabeth Taylor flopping so hard despite so much airplay? It was #2 in airplay this week.
Can Die On This Hill go actually die on a hill already please?
Only one more week until Opalite joins the 30 week club. WHERE IS MY HUSBAND isn't too far behind.
American Girls had a huge 10 spot jump to #3 and When Did You Get Hot jumped to #2. Hopefully When Did You Get Hot ends up being the next #1 song.
Finally, I didn't think Homewrecker was ever gonna go #1. This finally gives sombr his second ever #1 song. I'm not sure this will last much longer at #1 since some huge heavyweights just entered the top 5.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
