Debuts:

Make You Mine re-entered. Ok then, but this song has gotten slightly old and there's other songs that deserved to debut over this.

Slow It Down also re-entered. Great to see it back, and hopefully it can do something this time.

d4vd makes his countdown debut with Feel It. This has grown on me slightly since it entered hitbound. It's upbeat enough and d4vd sounds decent, but this is extremely forgettable.

Ariana Grande debuts out of nowhere and with 0 airplay with the boy is mine. This is a lot better than we can’t be friends. The production is pretty fun and Ariana sounds great.

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen collab on I Had Some Help. This is a great country song and they both sound great.

Now the best debut for last Camila Cabello and Lil Nas X collab on HE KNOWS. I've been enjoying this a lot this past week. This is just so insanely fun and catchy and the 2 of them sound great together.

Countdown Extra: Kane Brown/Marshmello - Miles On It

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Artemas - i like the way you kiss me and Taylor Swift/Post Malone - Fortnight [+10]

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Dua Lipa - Illusion [-5]

Last year's #1 song: Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side (1/3 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: ILLENIUM/Avril Lavigne/Travis Barker - Eyes Wide Shut

Least favorite song last year: David Kushner - Daylight

Most missed song: Bon Jovi - Roller Coaster (2016)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Bon Jovi - Living Proof

Hitbound

Forrest Frank/Connor Price - UP! [3]

Billie Eilish - LUNCH [Debut]

Teddy Swims - Hammer to the Heart [2]

Dua Lipa - These Walls [3]

Henry Moodie - drunk text [Debut]

Tommy Richman - MILLION DOLLAR BABY [3]

Stephen Sanchez - Baby Blue Bathing Suit [Debut]

Knox - Change Your Mind [5]

The Chainsmokers - No Shade at Pitti [2]

Tyla/Gunna/Skillibeng - Jump [Debut]

Billie Eilish - BIRDS OF A FEATHER [Debut]

Alec Benjamin/Khalid - Ways To Go [2]

Charli XCX - 360 [Debut]

Lay Bankz - Tell Ur Girlfriend [4]

Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles on It [2]

David Guetta/OneRepublic - I Don’t Wanna Wait [7]

Billie Eilish just released her new album Hit Me Hard And Soft, and she has 2 songs from that on hitbound. First up is LUNCH, which is the actual single. This is pretty fun and Billie sounds decent, and this could grow on me.

Billie is also here with BIRDS OF A FEATHER. This is very boring and not as good as LUNCH.

Instead of picking up on Henry Moodie's new song beat up car, they picked up on drunk text that released over a year ago. But apparently this is trending on Spotify.  Henry Moodie sounds good but this is way too boring.

Oh God pls not more Stephen Snoozefest. He's back with Baby Blue Bathing Suit. This is more upbeat than his usual stuff, but this is super forgettable and Stephen sounds terrible.

Tyla is back along with Gunna and Skillibeng with Jump. This is pretty fun and everyone sounds good.

Charli XCX is back with 360 after she had that really weird song Von Dutch a few months ago. This is fine but insanely forgettable.

Exits:

Jax/Hardy - Zombieland [1]

Jessie Murph - Cold [3]

RM - Come Back To Me [1]

Come Back To Me grew on me a lot and now finds itself in the abyss. And Zombieland and Cold weren't that great.

Abyss

The Beaches - Blame Brett

RM - Come Back To Me

Shinedown - A Symptom of Being Human

Billie Eilish - you should see me in a crown

Gracie Abrams - Risk

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!

Mark Ambor - Belong Together

Jagwar Twin - Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)

Olivia Rodrigo - so american

Justin Timberlake - No Angels

Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande - Rain On Me

Hayes Warner/Billy B/Kevin Rudolf - Just A Girl

Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson - Save Me

the blurb is mine:

We lost Creatures In Heaven, Blame Brett, On My Mama, Eyes Closed, Too Much, and pick up the phone. pick up the phone left from #8 despite having massive amounts of airplay. Creatures In Heaven was great and didn't deserve to flop. Blame Brett was super forgettable. On My Mama deserved better. Eyes Closed was starting to fade on me. And Too Much was fun but kinda forgettable.

Backslide, Me, Myself & Your Eyes, and Training Season are somehow still here after having hardly any airplay. Training Season in fact didn't get a single spin this week.

Can Stick Season just go away instead of re-entering the top 10?

Ugh, why does Taylor's most mid song Fortnight have to jump into the top 5 so quickly?

Too Sweet remains at #1 this week. If this could keep blocking Ariana from #1 that would be great.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

Poll of the Week Results:

Sabrina Carpenter (1) - Week of Jun 22, 2024

Hey guys, what's up? This was a good but weird week. We had some really big jumps that didn't really make sense and we have a new #1...
