Hey guys! I can't believe 2024 is almost over, it seems like just yesterday 2024 started. Anyways, it's finally time to reveal my top 10 favorite and least favorite songs of 2024! First up, let's start with the top 10 worst songs.
Top 10 Worst Songs
I don't get the appeal of Zach Bryan. People say he's indie country, I say he's extremely boring.
Is this boring overplayed song over now?
The lead singer of one of my favorite bands Maneskin decided to launch a solo career. Unfortunately for his first song, he chose to collab with Labrinth, one of the worst producers ever. Unsurprisingly this is boring like all of Labrinth's songs are. Fortunately, Damiano's next song Born With a Broken Heart is so much better.
The production is so bad and ear-rapey, and Camila has a very weird vocal effect on her voice.
We really didn't need more overplayed boring male ballads this year.
This was just way too weird and SZA does not sound good at all.
The production is garbage, Doja sounds like ass, the talking throughout the song is distracting and out of place, and this was way too overplayed.
And my #1 worst song of 2024 is....
This should have been called "Vomit On Me" because the only thing I want to do while listening to this song is vomiting.
Now it's time to go over my 10 best songs of 2024!
Top 10 Best Songs
This was such a fun song off the Despicable Me 4 soundtrack. This deserved to at least be on hitbound a week.
This was such a super fun and catchy soul song that deserved to be bigger than it was.
This was a very fun pop punk song that definitely deserved success on pop.
A very fun K-Pop song that brings back some early to late 2000s vibes.
Give Me Everything Pt 2 definitely deserved to be on the countdown for at least one week instead of rotting in the abyss like it did.
I'm so glad Kesha returned to making dance pop bangers and is easily her best song in over 10 years.
This was a really cool alt rock song and deserved more than 1 week on the countdown.
Super fun production along with humorous lyrics easily make this my favorite song from Paul Russell and one of the best songs this year.
I'm not normally a fan of R&B, but this was just way too catchy, and ended up being my #1 most streamed song of 2024.
And my #1 best song of 2024 is...
I'm not normally a big fan of BTS or its members, as V was on my worst song, but this was way too catchy. The production is amazing, and Jung Kook and Usher both sound great together. It's just a shame Hits 1 never played the Usher remix because it's so much better.
Well, that does it for now. Stay tuned for the 2024 Hits 1 year in review post sometime after the last countdown of 2024 airs, along with the Hits 1 top 30 of 2024 post whenever that airs.
