Debuts:
Ed Sheeran is back on the countdown with A Little More after Sapphire flopped hard and Azizam still kinda flopped despite going #1. This is easily his best song from Play so far. The production is really fun and I love his rapping in the second verse. His rapping is always so hilarious, I wish he did more of it like in his older songs.
Lastly party 4 u reentered. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, okay then? This song is getting very old and really did not need to come back. Hopefully this leaves very soon.

The Adam Levine Solo Experience have released their new album Love Is Like, and we have the title track with Lil Wayne of all people. This is pretty fun. Adam and Lil Wayne both sound good here, but this is a bit forgettable. But I have a feeling this could grow on me.
Great just what we needed, more weird forgettable Conan Gray crap. He released his new album Wishbone, and he's here with Caramel. This is slightly better than Vodka Cranberry, but it's still not great. The production is a lot more upbeat, but this song is nearly 4 minutes long and seems to drag on and on.
Oh lord, I haven't had to talk about this girl in a long time. Everyone's favorite Hits 1 plant Claire Rosinkranz is here with Dancer. This is actually pretty good. The production is pretty fun and her voice is great, but this still seems a bit generic.
Zara Larsson is back with Crush after Pretty Ugly flopped hard on the countdown. This is a lot better than Pretty Ugly. I really love the electropop production and her voice is great.
Audrey Hobert just released her debut album Who's The Clown, and she replaces herself with Thirst Trap. This is so much better than Wet Hair but not as great as Sue Me. The production is solid, the lyrics are pretty funny, and she sounds really good here.
Lastly we have a song that's been trending for 2 months that Hits 1 has finally picked up on. Disco Lines make their Hits 1 debut with a remix of Tinashe's No Broke Boys. This is an incredible EDM song. The house production is super fun and Tinashe sounds great here. Hopefully this song can end up debuting the countdown.
Exits:
- Reneé Rapp - You'd Like That Wouldn't You [2]
- Michael Clifford - remember when [3]
- Demi Lovato - Fast [1]
- Audrey Hobert - Wet Hair [3]
- Maroon 5 - California [4]
Fast finds itself in the abyss and it really deserved to debut the countdown this week, hopefully it can debut next week. None of the other songs will be missed.
2025 total dropouts: 127
Estimated total for 2025: 183 (+2)
Abyss
AJR - Betty [1]
Demi Lovato - Fast [1]
d4vd/jasontheween - Summer Uptown [1]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Soda Pop [2]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Your Idol [2]
KPop Demon Hunters Cast - How It's Done [2]
Taylor Swift - How Did It End? [2]
PinkPantheress - Illegal [2]
Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun [4]
Alex Warren - Eternity [4]
Yay! Betty is back in the abyss. Hopefully this can reenter the countdown.
Blurb trap:
We lost Hot Girl Problems and Busy Woman. Good riddance to both of them. Hot Girl Problems faded on me hard so thankfully it only lasted one week. And Busy Woman was super annoying and didn't deserve to go #1.
I guess Nice To Each Other is just gonna rot in the bottom 5 its entire countdown run.
Let's hope Survive does not survive much longer.
Nice to see Just Keep Watching getting a huge jump even though I don't think it needed to reenter the countdown in the first place.
I have no idea how Golden is doing so well on the countdown and especially on Billboard. Did it really deserve to go #1 there?
Nice to see No Time To Talk in the top 5.
Nice to see undressed at #1. I'll take literally anything besides Sabrina at #1 at this point.
That's all for now, see you all next week!

Wamb, I have posted the 9/11/10 countdown with 8 exits on my blog https://zestpond.blogspot.com/2010/09/taio-cruz-1-week-of-sep-11-2010.html
ReplyDeleteIs that the most exits there's ever been on Hits 1, not counting the infamous May 30, 2020 which technically had seventeen exits?
Delete07/09/11 and 08/27/11 also had 8 exits
DeleteMay 30th 2020 only had 17 exits because the countdown got reduced to 30 songs that week
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteDo you wish 2013 had an 8 exit weeks? I do
ReplyDeleteI have added a new page to my blog. I compiled a list of every Hits 1 "exclusive" remixes of songs as well as every song that got rappers edited out of. You can check it out here or up on my pages tab. https://zestpond.blogspot.com/p/hits-1-exclusive-song-remixes.html
