Ed Sheeran just released his new album Play, and he's here with Camera. Ed originally wrote this for Justin Bieber back in 2021, but ended up scrapping it, but then ended up bringing it back for this album. This is an alright power ballad from him. The production is actually a bit upbeat for a ballad but it's still kinda forgettable, but Ed's voice is really good here.
Great, we have 2 nobodies this week. We have some random person named Jade LeMac with Running Home. Actually, it turns out this girl was on the What I Wouldn't Do/North Star Calling song from 2023 that had a million Canadian artists on it (Crash Adams was also on that song!). This is actually a pretty good song. The production is really upbeat and her voice is really good.
Twenty One Pilots have released their new album Breach, and they replace themselves with City Walls. This song is nearly 5 and a half minutes long, but Hits 1 plays a shortened version of it. This is not nearly as good as Drum Show. The production here is weird and a bit slow.
We have some random pop punk band BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT with HEART AWAY. I don't know who these people are, but this song slaps hard. I really like the alt pop punk production, and whoever is singing sounds amazing. I wouldn't mind if this song became a hit.
Demi Lovato is just straight up making EDM now. She's back with Here All Night after Fast unfortunately flopped hard. I think I like this a bit better than Fast. The EDM production is really fun and Demi sounds great.
I AM GLAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE GREAT AND VERY TALENTED OLIVIA "GODDESS" DEAN IS ON THE WONDERFUL AND ABSOLUTELY STUNNING SHOW "HITBOUND", OR AS MANY CALL IT, "AMAZINGMUSICBOUND" WITH MIKEY PIFF ON HITS 1 SIRIUSXM!!!!!! HITS 1'S HITBOUND ALWAYS PLAYS HIT SONGS FIRST, LIKE GIVE ME A KISS FROM THE LEGENDARY #1 HITMAKERS CRASH ADAMS!!!!! I AM A BIG FAN OF OLIVIA AND I'M SO PROUD OF HER, OLIVIA "GODDESS" DEAN FOR GETTING A SECOND FUTURE #1 HIT AFTER 3 TIME #1 HIT (#30 = #1) WITH "NICE TO EACH OTHER". NOW SHE WILL ABSOLUTELY WRECK TAYLOR "NOT HOT ANYMORE" SWIFT OR SABRINA "FAKE" CRAPENTER! SHE IS TRULY ONE TO BE RECKONED WITH AND BECAUSE I SUPPORT HER, SHE WILL HAVE 15 WEEKS AT #1!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!!!!!!! -DJT......anyways...Olivia Dean is back because we totally needed more of here. Man I Need is actually kinda good. This is a lot better than Nice To Each Other. The production is pretty upbeat and Olivia sounds great, but this still seems kinda forgettable. I have a feeling this could grow on me though.
Next up we have a very weird collab. Damiano David has collabed with Tyla and Nile Rodgers on Talk to Me. The collab may be very strange, but it somehow works. I really like the production from Nile Rodgers, and Damiano and Tyla both sound great.
Lastly, we have a random old song, because why not. A BLACKPINK song from 2016 called BOOMBAYAH has debuted hitbound. I thought hitbound was for discovering new music, I've known about this song since it came out. But honestly I'm not even mad because this song is an absolute banger and I'm glad this song seems to be trending again. Maybe I can use this as an excuse to put this song on my personal charts.

BLURBAYAH:
We lost Nice To Each Other...again...I'm not really sure why this felt the need to reenter just to leave 1 week later.
Can an actual amazing Doja Cat song not flop for once?
Same Mouth had a huge 10 spot drop. Good, get this out of here.
Can Blue Strips and party 4 u just leave already instead of rotting in the bottom 5 spots?
Can JUMP do more jumping and not more dropping?
Oh joy, Tears had a huge 11 spot jump almost into the top 10. It's only a matter of time until this reaches #1.
Wow, A Little More had a massive 17 spot jump to #6. I wouldn't mind if this hit #1
The top 3 has stayed the same for a month now. We need more movement up there.
Wow, undressed has been #1 for 5 weeks in a row now, and shows no sign of backing down from #1 any time soon. I wonder how much longer this can stay #1.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
Last week's poll of the week results:
Best Debut This Week in 2022?
- Rosa Linn - SNAP: 33.33 % (4 votes)
- Elton John/Britney Spears - Hold Me Closer: 25 % (3 votes)

Poll of the week:
I just don’t know why we’re barely having exits in the past weeks. Hits 1 had a bunch of 6 exit weeks in the 1st half of 2024, IDK why it even stopped
ReplyDeleteI'm about to pay a 20 billion dollar bribe to get Man I Need to be the first ever #1 debut on hits 1 history
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about that. CLWN (cried) releases 9/19 and will contain the bonus tracks:
Delete11. girl i need... you to leave the countdown
12. 20 billion dollars more

And the exclusive "CLWN (I ate a cat)" edition available at Petco has one more bonus track:
Delete16. I never actually ate a cat, I surgically removed a cat from someone's stomach. Get it right guys.
if man i peak doesnt reach number one WE riot
Deletepitbull and lil jon need to debut hits1 with their followup to jumpin.
ReplyDeleteIt has already been leaked and this was a critic's review of it:
Delete"All right, you asked for it. Let's buckle up and dive right into this musical genius, also known as 'Jumpin Part II' by Pitbull and Lil Jon. The fact that this auditory magic is still nowhere near the top 25 songs chart is an affront to music lovers everywhere.
First off, let's talk about originality. We used to see Pitbull and Lil Jon raiding their own discographies like musical grave robbers, looking for that one beat or hook that might still have a pulse. Spoiler alert: they finally found it. This song provides a magical experience like nothing you've ever felt before.
Then there are the lyrics. I've seen more complexity... well, nowhere. It's as if they used every word in the dictionary in the best way possible. And Lil Jon's "yeahhh" and "okayyy" - it's not here. This song displays the hidden lyrical genius that was once masked behind two familiar words.
But the real travesty here isn't just the heartwrenching beauty of the song itself. No, it's the fact that it hasn't yet landed in the top 25, and by not doing so, it has led people to believe the bar for musical success is so low it's practically subterranean. What message does that send to up-and-coming artists? That they shouldn't even try because music this good is completely unknown to the general public?
We're living in a golden age of music, with artists pushing boundaries and challenging norms every single day. Yet, this song transcends even that. It's not just a song, it's a lifetime of emotion and an adventure to the ends of the universe."
I don't care what they say, personally I think Jumpin Part II is the worst song I've ever heard
Deleteerm actually Damn I Love Miami is a banger. Ethan you must listen to it.
