Taking A Look At The Top 20 Least Streamed Hits 1 Songs

Hey guys, what's up? This is something a little different. A few months ago, HrishK made a post of the top 50 most streamed songs on Spotify, and I wanted to do something similar. So I decided to do the top 20 least streamed songs. Now, there's way too many songs on Spotify, so it would be impossible to find the top 20 least streamed songs of all time, so I just decided to only do songs that were on the weekend countdown. Before we get to the top 20, I want to look at some songs that didn't quite make the list, but I was surprised at how low they listed.

#33: Anaya Birla - Let There Be Love

Streams: 598,648

Released: 2020

Blurb: Remember this song? This song was amazing, and I'm not sure why it has such low streams.

5/5 = Amazing

#41: Milan & Phoenix - Istanbul (Not Constantinople)

Streams: 983,286

Released: 2012

Blurb: I know this song wasn't the most popular, but I used to dance to this song all the time on Just Dance. A really fun song that definitely deserves more streams.

5/5 = Amazing

#57: Shaylen - Goodbye

Streams: 1,362,607

Released: 2020

Blurb: Easily one of the most forgettable songs ever on Hits 1, lasting only one week. This was good, but not as good as I Try by Macy Gray that this song samples.

4/5 = Good

#80: Amelia Moore - i feel everything

Streams: 2,384,388

Released: 2022

Blurb: This song was terrible, and definitely deserved to be this low.

0/5 = Awful

Alright, with the honorable mentions out of the way, let's start the countdown at #20. For each song, I'm going to give a brief history of each artist and also my opinions on the songs.

20: Allstar Weekend - Life As We Know It

Streams: 168,919

14: Saving Jane - One Girl Revolution

Streams: 99,016

Blurb: Poor Saving Jane, they're on this list twice! Much like Happy, it's a pretty good pop punk song but nothing that special.
4/5 = Good

Released: Sep 4, 2007
Blurb: I Nine is a pop rock band from Orangeburg, South Carolina. After making a song for the film Elizabethtown, they released this song, which was chosen by iTunes as the service's "free single of the week". This is a really cool pop punk song, and singer Carmen Keigans sounds almost like Avril Lavigne.
5/5 = Amazing

11: Kelsi Luck - That's What I Like

Streams: 73,967
Released: July 16, 2013
Blurb: Wow, talk about a one song wonder! Kelsi Luck has only made one song - this one. Apparently, she made this song just for Hits 1, and also sang a cover of Chocolate by The 1975. And she also has songwriting credits on Pale Waves' 2022 album Unwanted. This song was pretty upbeat and fun, but Kelsi's voice is slightly annoying.
4/5 = Good

10: Lucas Prata/Lenny B - First Night of My Life

Streams: 67,643
Released: Jan 2, 2012
Blurb: Lucas Prata is best known for his dance hits in the 2000s. Wow, this is a really cool EDM song, and the drop is amazing. I'm shocked this doesn't have more streams.
5/5 = Amazing

9: Ashley Parker Angel - Where Did You Go?

Streams: 50,863
Released: May 16, 2006
Blurb: Ashley Parker Angel was a former member of the boy band O-Town in the early 2000s. This song's kinda slow but decent, and his voice is decent.
3/5 = Decent

4/5 = Good

7: Big Heed and Alien - Tipsy (8 Bar Remix)

Streams: 47,878
Released: Mar 11, 2011
Blurb: Another one song wonder, this is Big Heed and Alien's only song, and it was made just for Hits 1. They consist of Shaheed “Heed” Smith & Ali “Alien” Warren. They've performed for artists like B.O.B., Andre 3000, and Cee-Lo Green. This is a pretty fun electro pop song.
4/5 = Good

6: Tiffany Affair - Over It

2: Just Kait - Sick

Streams: 18,939
Released: June 16, 2009
Blurb: Just Kait got their start by winning a contest for creating a new theme song for the reality show Parental Control. This is a super fun pop punk song, and definitely deserves more streams.
5/5 = Amazing

And the least streamed Hits 1 song of all time is...

1: A Girl Called Jane - He's Alive

Streams: 1,690
Released: Apr 21, 2007
Blurb: Here we go, at just a little over 1,000 streams, we have the least streamed song ever on Hits 1. I could not find much information about this band. For the third time, this is the only song that this band has ever released. But I did find out something interesting on their wiki. Apparently, they were originally going to sing the song Umbrella, and even shot a music video for it, but in the end Rihanna ended up singing it. Who knows, if they ended up singing Umbrella, A Girl Called Jane could have ended up more famous. The song itself is really good. I really like the electro pop production and singer Nora Dalal sounds great. This definitely deserves way more streams.
5/5 = Amazing

Well, looks like that's it. I hope you discovered some new artists and songs, I know I did. I have a few more ideas floating around that I want to do, like top 20 most/least streamed hitbound dropouts, but we'll see. Bye for now!

Yes, Billie Eilish is such a bop, I just wish it was longer than a minute an a half.

World's Smallest Violin is also a bop, I'm glad it's finally on AT40.

Ewww, 2 Doja Cat songs in the top 5.

Ass It Was and About Damn Time also need to leave the top 5, and the countdown.

Lizzo (2) - Week Of Oct 29, 2022

Hey guys, what's up? There's something I need to address before we get started. If you're not in the Hits 1 Discord, there's been some drama recently. Long story short, there was a huge fight that resulted in me, HrishK, and Daniel getting banned from the server. So we decided to move to a different Discord server. This shouldn't affect anything on the blog and I'll still be active in the community. With that out of the way, let's get started on this week's HalloWeekend countdown!

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: So Good - Halsey (-10)

Last year's #1 song: Shivers - Ed Sheeran (2/14 long weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: MAMMAMIA - Måneskin

Least favorite song last year: Way 2 Sexy - Drake/Future/Young Thug

Most missed song: Piece Of Me - Britney Spears (2007)

5 oldest songs:

5: Left And Right - Charlie Puth/Jungkook (18 weeks)

4: So Good - Halsey (20 weeks)

3: Numb - Marshmello/Khalid (20 weeks)

2: I Like You (A Happier Song) - Post Malone/Doja Cat (21 weeks)

1: Late Night Talking - Harry Styles (22 weeks)

Debuts:

Calm Down re-entered. I'm not the biggest fan of this song, but I don't mind it came back.

This song has really grown on me since it left hitbound. It's Enough by charlieonnafriday. This guy sounds exactly like Post Malone. If you told me he was, I'd probably believe you. I really love the production here and I love his voice too.

Well, It's been a while since we've had a song from Taylor that wasn't a folk song or a re-recording of an old song. She's back with Anti Hero. I'm in love with this song. I love that this song tells a story, and the production's pretty catchy. And Taylor sounds great as always.

Hitbound:

Common - Quinn XCII/Big Sean

Lift Me Up - Rihanna (Debut)

I Remember - Cheat Codes/Russell Dickerson

if you ask me to - charli d'amelio (Debut)

Made You Look - Meghan Trainor (Debut)

Narcissist - Avery Anna

Bad Idea - Dove Cameron (Debut)

Nonsense - Sabrina Carpenter

dumb dumb - mazie

Before You - Benson Boone (Debut)

LOVE ABOUT IT - Waterparks/blackbear

Heaven to Me - Havanna Winter

Remember - Becky Hill/David Guetta (Debut)

SIMPLY THE BEST - Black Eyed Peas/Anitta/El Alfa (Debut)

100 degrees - kenzie

WDIA (Would Do It Again) - Rosa Linn/Duncan Laurence

Rihanna's back after not making any music for 6 years. And her comeback...isn't that great. Lift Me Up is decent. It's kinda slow, but Rihanna does sound pretty good.

Dixie's younger sister Charli has started making music, and here she is with if you ask me to. This song isn't that great. The production is fine but kinda boring and Charli doesn't sound that great.

Meghan Trainor is back on Hits 1 after her hitbound dropout Nice To Meet Ya in 2020, with Made You Look. This song's fine. The production's pretty upbeat and Meghan sounds fine, but I can tell this song's going to get really annoying really quickly.

Dove Cameron's back after the failure of Breakfast, with Bad Idea. This song is such a bop. It's way better than Breakfast and Boyfriend. Wait, I just realized all her songs start with B. Anyways, the production is super cool and Dove's whispery voice actually works really well with this song.

Um, I don't think anyone asked for more Benson Boone. Ghost Town and In The Stars really sucked, so I wasn't happy that's he's back. Before You isn't as bad as those songs, but it's not great either. The production is really slow and Benson does not sound that great.

The next song, Remember by Becky Hill and David Guetta, was released a year ago, so I'm not sure why Hits 1 picked up on it now, but I don't care, this song is such a bop. Becky Hill sounds really great here and David Guetta's production is fantastic as always.

Now the best for last. Black Eyed Peas is back along with Anitta and El Alfa with Simply The Best. And my oh my is this song a bop! I have been streaming this song nonstop since it released Friday. The production is just insanely catchy and will.i.am and everyone else here sounds amazing. Probably my LOP award if it doesn't debut.

Exits:

THE LONELIEST - Måneskin

EDGING - blink-182

Celestial - Ed Sheeran

Best Friends - 5 Seconds of Summer

Sex, Drugs, Etc. - Beach Weather

Hot All The Time - Leah Kate

It looks like Edging will be my LOP award this year. We lost Celestial and Best Friends for a second time. I was starting to warm up to Sex, Drugs, Etc. And The Loneliest and Hot All The Time weren't that great.

Abyss:

BILLIE EILISH. - Armani White

Unstoppable - Sia

Die For You - The Weeknd

Power (Remember Who You Are) - SPINALL/Summer Walker/DJ Snake/Äyanna

MANIAC - Macklemore/Windser

Bigger Than Me - Louis Tomlinson

Jimmy Cooks - Drake/21 Savage

fmk - GAYLE/blackbear

Anti-Blurbs:

We lost uh oh, Pink Venom, and Betty. uh oh was starting to grow on me and I'm not sure why it only lasted 3 weeks. Betty was getting really annoying so I'm glad it's gone. And Pink Venom wasn't that good.

Good, Evergreen hasn't moved at all since it debuted. Hopefully it leaves soon.

I thought Late Night Talking would leave this week, but it looks like it's hanging on til next week.

Wow, I’m Good made a surprising jump to #3. Can it please hit #1 next week instead of the 🤡 ?

I was really hoping I Ain't Worried would hit #1 this week instead of 2 Be Loved because it jumped to #2 in airplay and 2 Be Loved fell to #5. But nope, Am I Ready 2 Be Annoyed just had to stay #1 again and I Ain't Worried fell to #5. C'mon Hits 1, give my boys OneRepublic a #1 song! They haven't had one since Love Runs Out in 2014. Ugh, and Music For A Sushi Restaurant hit #2 this week, so you know it's gonna be #1 next week. C'mon Hits 1, stop stanning this stupid clown!!!

That's all for now, see you all next week!

Debuts:

Wow, this is unheard of. 3 re-entries!

Snap was growing on me a lot so I'm glad it's back.

Million Dollar Baby has started to fade on me a bit but I'm still glad it's back.

Remember Wrapped Around Your Finger? It spent a week on the countdown in June then left, and now it's back. This song has grown a lot on me since it left and I'm really glad it's back.

Our only new debut, Cuff It by Beyoncé. This song's pretty fun and Beyonce sounds great, but I slightly prefer Summer Renaissance more.

Yay, Celestial is back! This is a really cool EDM song.

3 debuts from people I've never heard of. First is 100 degrees by kenzie. This one's pretty good. The production's pretty cool and kenzie sounds great.

This next song is super bizarre. It's dumb dumb by mazie. This sounds similar to the Build A B**** song from last year. I don't really know how to feel about this one. This is just super weird, but mazie sounds pretty good.

Next is Avery Anna with Narcissist. This is okay. Her voice is really good but the production is just too boring.

Waterparks is a name I haven't heard in while. They had a song on the countdown in 2019 Dream Boy. They team up with blackbear with Love About It. I really like the pop punk production and blackbear's verse is great.

Duncan Laurence is back along with Rosa Linn with WDIA. I really hated Arcade last year, so I wasn't looking forward to new Duncan Laurence. But I'm happy to say that this one's pretty good. The production is fine but not special but Duncan and Rosa both sound good together.

Now the biggest song for last. Taylor Swift is finally back. I'm a pretty big fan of Taylor. I loved her songs from the 2000s and 2010s, but her newer songs have been kinda mediocre. She released two folk albums in 2020, folklore and evermore, which I wasn't a big fan of, but now she's back with a pop album. I've listened to most of the songs off the album, and most of them are good. Bejeweled is probably my favorite. But the lead single off the album will be Anti-Hero. Yeah, this song is great, and is probably going to be #1 for multiple weeks. The build-up is really nice and the chorus is great, and Taylor sounds amazing as always.

Wrapped around your blurbs:

We lost Calm Down, Glimpse Of Us, About Damn Time, and Make You Say. ADT had a really historic countdown run, but it was super annoying, so I'm glad it's gone. Calm Down was never that good. GOU was terrible and never deserved to be here let alone 14 weeks. Make You Say was great but was slightly fading on me so I don't mind it's gone.

Evergreen hasn't moved. Hopefully it leaves soon.

It's hilarious that Pink Venom has been here for 8 weeks but hasn't peaked higher than 23.

Good riddance, can Late Night Talking leave soon please?

Same for So Boring.

Nice to see Hold Me Closer almost hit the top 5.

I Ain't Worried jumped to #2. I really hope it hits #1 next week.

Am I Ready 2 Be Annoyed is #1 this week. We went from not having a solo black female artist at #1 on the weekend countdown in 14 years to 2 in one year. Good for you Lizzo! As for the song itself, I'm not a big fan of it. I loved it when it came out, then Hits 1 decided to play it every 5 minutes and it got super annoying. But it's still a decent song and I don't mind it's #1.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

AT40: Post Malone/Doja Cat (2) - Week Of Oct 15, 2022

Hey all, so I think I decided I'm gonna start reviewing the AT40 countdown. I don't know if I'll do it every week, but I'll do it if I have time. I won't be doing a full review like my Hits 1 posts, I'll just color code the songs and give some blurbs. People have been telling me that AT40 is better than Hits 1, but I'm not so sure. AT40 has been around for longer, since 1970, and they have all their countdowns archived. Unlike Hits 1, whose countdowns aren't archived anywhere and instead I have to rely on other people's posts. But Hits 1, on the other hand, tends to pick up on songs much earlier than other stations. And songs don't last as long on the weekend countdown as they do on AT40, after Hits 1 shortened the countdown. Hits 1 and AT40 both have their pros and cons, but I still think Hits 1 is better. So the primary focus of this blog will still be on Hits 1 and AT40 second. Alright, enough blabbering, let's get started!

Songs falling off:

Kane Brown - Grand (26)

Benny Blanco ft. BTS & Snoop Dogg - Bad Decisions (33)

Megan Thee Stallion ft. Dua Lipa - Sweetest Pie (40)

Debuts:

Pink Venom and Forget me just now debuted after Hits 1 picked up on them a month ago.

Star Walkin' is amazing and I'm glad AT40 picked up on it also.

Numb little blurbs:

Bruh, Sweetest Pie just now left AT40!? Bad Decisions was pretty fun and I wished it could've debuted on the weekend countdown. Grand was fine but not that great.

Bruh, why are there so many old songs still here!!?? That's What I Want is still here!!?? Boyfriend, Big Energy, Numb Little Bug, As It Was, and First Class are also super old.

There's a song here, Escape, that Hits 1 never picked up on, it's actually a pretty cool EDM song. Not surprised Hits 1 didn't pick up on it, judging how they treat EDM.

I'm so glad Wait For U never entered the weekend countdown, it's almost as bad as Way 2 Sexy.

Ewwwwwwww, ⛪ is in the top 10!!!

Bruh, how is Ass It Was still in the top 5? And About Damn Time top 10?

Unsurprisingly, the overplayed song is #1, I'm so glad it never hit #1 on the weekend countdown.

That's all for now, see you Saturday for my Hits 1 post.
