Debuts:

Daylight has re-entered for a second time now. Ummmmmm, okay then?

Charli XCX brings her first song on the countdown since 1999 in 2019, with Speed Drive. This is such a bop. It's super catchy and Charli sounds great.

After dropping out of Hitbound in April then re-entering Hitbound 2 weeks ago and dropping out again, NOTD and Maia Wright are finally here with AM:PM. This is an amazing EDM song and finally glad it could debut.

Crash Adams bring their second song on the countdown with Sugar Mommy. This is basically Give Me A Kiss but so much better. The production is super fun and the two sound great as always.

Countdown Extra: aespa - Better Things

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Miley Cyrus - Jaded (+16)

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Jonas Brothers - Summer Baby (-14)

Last year's #1 song: Harry Styles - Late Night Talking (2/5 long and overrated weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Zedd/Maren Morris/BEAUZ - Make You Say

Least favorite song last year: Demi Lovato - 29

Most missed song: Charli XCX - Famous (2014)

Recommendation for Hits 1: New Rules - NOPE!

5 oldest songs:

5. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (14 weeks)

4. Harry Styles - Satellite (16 weeks)

3. Tie between David Guetta/Anne-Marie/Coi Leray - Baby Don’t Hurt Me, SZA - Snooze, and FIFTY FIFTY - Cupid (Twin Ver.) (17 weeks)

2. Crash Adams - Give Me A Kiss (18 weeks)

1. Miley Cyrus - Jaded (19 weeks)

aespa - Better Things {2} SOTW

Travis Scott/Bad Bunny/The Weeknd - K-POP {5}

Lauv - Love U Like That {4}

Miley Cyrus is back with Used To Be Young. This is an alright ballad. The production is solid and Miley sounds good.

Selena Gomez is back with new solo music since My Mind & Me last year, with Single Soon. This is so much better than that boring MM&M. This is pretty fun and Selena sounds good.

Jordi is back with Just A Friend after having that song Hate You earlier this year that refused to leave hitbound. This is a lot better than Hate You. It's pretty fun and Jordi sounds good.

The group Nightly make their Hits 1 debut with shirt. They sound like a The 1975 clone, but it's not a bad thing. This is a pretty upbeat indie rock song and they sound great.

Lastly is another Hits 1 debut, Thomas Day with Gravity. This guy is just a Lewis Capaldi clone. The production is super boring. It starts to pick up towards the end but by then I'm too bored. But this Thomas guy's voice is decent.

Exits:

Charlie Puth - Lipstick {1}

Jelly Roll - Need A Favor {9}

will.i.am/Britney Spears - Mind Your Business {5}

Need A Favor lasted way too long. Lipstick didn't last long enough. And Mind Your Business was great but it was never gonna debut.

Abyss:

Miguel - Sure Thing

Bakar - Hell N Back

Jain - Makeba

Pitbull/Lil Jon - JUMPIN

Harry Styles - Daylight

Busted/Jonas Brothers - Year 3000 2.0

Taylor Swift - I Can See You (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)

Flo Rida - What A Night

ZAYN - Love Like This

TOMORROW X TOGETHER/Jonas Brothers - Do It Like That

Teddy Swims - Lose Control

Blurbs Too Hot:

We lost Waffle House, Eyes Closed, Stand By Me, and Super Shy. I'm not sure why Super Shy left, it was getting tons of airplay. Stand By Me was alright. Waffle House was good but was getting old. And good riddance to that overplayed piece of crap Eyes Closed.

RIP it looks like vampire will never reach the top 5.

Let's gooooooo!!! In The Stars jumped 11 spots to #5 and We Didn't Start The Fire is up to #6!

Why did the overplayed piece of crap Jaded jump 16 spots to #4?

Now the moment you've all been waiting for, a rant on Satellite hitting #1 in all caps, in bold, and italicized:

REALLY SHITS 1, WHY DID HARRY THE CLOWN HAVE TO OVERTAKE TAYLOR SWIFT ANGEL AMAZINGNESS FROM #1? CRUEL SUMMER IS THE SONG OF THE SUMMER RIGHT NOW AND DOESN'T DESERVE TO GET DETHRONED BY A CLOWN. CMON HITS 1, DO BETTER. CRUEL SUMMER HAS BEEN HIGHER IN AIRPLAY THAN SATELLITE ALL WEEK, THERE WAS NO NEED TO MAKE SATELLITE #1. CRUEL SUMMER BETTER TAKE BACK #1 NEXT WEEK OR THERE'LL BE AN EVEN BIGGER RANT.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
