Sabrina Carpenter (6) - Week of Jul 27, 2024

Hey guys, what's up? One quick announcement. Big has delayed the 2022 Hits 1 Small Hits Rankdown again for another 2 weeks, but I'll keep you posted when it starts. This was a very boring week. Debuts:

Carry You Home debuted despite being off the survey. Okay, then. This is just alright. I liked Before You Leave Me a lot more. This is a pretty fun folk song and Alex Warren sounds good, but this is just extremely forgettable.

The 4 hitbound debuts this week were not that great. Midsey is back with Lucky, which samples Britney Spears' song Lucky. This is just another mid song from her. The production is very boring and the sample doesn't work that well.

Yet another sample this week. Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll sample Take Me Home, Country Roads with Lonely Road. This is yet another boring sample and MGK and Jelly Roll don't sound that great.

You didn't ask for more Tucker Pillsbury? Well too bad, Hits 1 has to pick up on every single ROLE MODEL song. Scumbag is also very boring and he doesn't sound that great.

Finally a halfway decent debut. Post Malone and Luke Combs collab Guy For That, which is basically Pour Me A Drink 2.0 but with Luke Combs instead of Blake Shelton. This is a fine bro country song, and they both sound good together.

Stumblin' In randomly grew on me a lot and now becomes my purple hitbound song.

Exits:

Eminem/Jelly Roll - Somebody Save Me [2]

Lawrence - Whatcha Want [5]

Isabel LaRosa - favorite [6]

KATSEYE - Debut [4]

These were all mid expect for Whatcha Want and they won't be missed.

Abyss

Quavo/Lana Del Rey - Tough

Meghan Trainor - Whoops

UPSAHL - Summer So Hot

Olivia Rodrigo - so american

Moneybagg Yo/Morgan Wallen - WHISKEY WHISKEY

Twenty One Pilots - The Craving

Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO!

Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon

Harry Styles - Daylight

Take Me Home, Country Blurbs:

Only 1 exit this week, Whoops. This was extremely forgettable and won't be missed.

There's not really much to talk about as this was a very boring countdown as the biggest jump and drop were only 5 and 4 spots.

Welp, I was really hoping Good Luck, Babe could overthrow Espresso from #1 but it dropped 2 spots today.

Too Sweet is dropping rapidly in airplay and doesn't really need to be #2.

Ok why on earth is Espresso still #1? This is its second week in a row being #1 only getting 1 spin a day. I guess this is getting carried by the Hits 1 voters like I Can Do It With A Broken Heart was.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
