Hey guys, what's up? This was a pretty good week since we had a lot of movement and we got rid of some very old songs.

Also, this week is my 1000th post, so congratulations to me I guess.

Debuts:

Not really sure why Mamushi felt the need to reenter. This song isn't even that big.

Hits 1 is so late to picking up on this next song it's not even funny. Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us finally debuts after being on the survey for 10 weeks and never getting a single spin until now. This is great. The production slaps and Kendrick sounds great. I don't see this song lasting long though since it's already been popular for 3 months now and will start to decline soon.

Meghan Trainor is back with Criminals. Just another fun but basic Meghan bop.

It's been a very hot minute since we've seen Linkin Park on the countdown. They were last seen with One More Light and Heavy in 2017, and then Lost dropped out of hitbound last year. They're back with The Emptiness Machine with a new female singer Emily Armstrong. She'll never be as good as Chester Bennington, but she still sounds great. This has grown on me a lot since it entered hitbound a few weeks ago. The production slaps and Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong both sound great together.

Countdown Extra: Dasha - Bye Bye Bye

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Charli XCX - 360 and Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It (+9)

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Charli XCX - Apple and Gracie Abrams - Close To You (-5)

Last year's #1 song: Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (6/6 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: blink-182 - One More Time

Least favorite song last year: Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For?

Most missed song: Baauer - Harlem Shake (2013)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Devon Cole - Sugar Daddy

5 Oldest Songs

  5. Tie between Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe! and Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It [19w]

Hitbound

Myles Smith - Wait for You [5]

Kylie Minogue - Lights Camera Action [Debut]

Knox - Invisible [3]

Jon Bellion - KID AGAIN [Debut]

Camila Cabello - GODSPEED [4]

Morgan Wallen/ERNEST - Cowgirls [Debut]

Henry Moodie - good old days [Debut]

Damiano David/Labrinth - Silverlines [Debut]

Ava Max - Spot A Fake [2]

Alex Warren - Catch My Breath [Debut]

Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams [3]

Natalie Jane - Somebody to Someone (I Just Wanna Fall in Love) [3]

Balu Brigada - So Cold [Debut]

Nightly - every part [Debut]

Dasha - Bye Bye Bye [3]

Alex Warren - Burning Down [2]

Kylie Minogue is back since Padam Padam last year with another banger, Lights Camera Action. The production is amazing and Kylie sounds great as always.

It's been a hot minute since we've seen Jon Bellion on Hits 1. He was last seen with Overwhelming when it dropped out of hitbound in 2017, and he's back with KID AGAIN. This is alright. The production is a bit strange and Jon sounds alright.

Apparently Cowgirls is randomly becoming popular a year and a half after One Thing At A Time released. This is fine. The country trap production is decent and Morgan Wallen and ERNEST both sound good.

Finally Henry Moodie made a song with a beat. He replaces himself with good old days. This is his best song since pick up the phone. The production is very beautiful and Henry sounds great.

Damiano David, the lead singer of Maneskin, teamed up with Labrinth to release his first solo song Silverlines. And of course he had to pick the worst producer ever Labrinth. Every Labrinth song has the same problems. They start off super boring then turn into an overproduced mess. And this is no exception. Damiano David's voice is the only saving grace about this song. Any other singer and this song would be destined for my worst list.

We really don't need 2 Alex Bore-en songs on hitbound. He double dips with Catch My Breath. This is alright, I guess, but I'm gonna forget what this sounds like 2 seconds after I'm done listening to it.

We have some band named Balu Brigada here with So Cold. Apparently they're a New Zealand band that opened for Twenty One Pilots. This is a fine little alt rock song and whoever the singer is sounds good but this is very forgettable.

Nightly, who had the song Shirt that dropped out of hitbound last year, are back with Every Part. Just another good but very forgettable song that's destined for the hitbound dropout list.

Exits:

Tinashe - Nasty [5]

FIFTY FIFTY - SOS [1]

Henry Moodie - right person, wrong time [6]

Haiden Henderson - sweat [1]

Jimin - Who [4]

Katy Perry/Doechii - I'M HIS, HE'S MINE [2]

sweat deserved better. I'M HIS, HE'S MINE finds itself in the abyss. And the rest I didn't care about.

Abyss

Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club

Katy Perry/Doechii - I'M HIS, HE'S MINE

Kesha - JOYRIDE

Eminem - Houdini

Meghan Trainor - Whoops

Hayes Warner - Predator

David Guetta/OneRepublic - I Don't Wanna Wait

The Kid Laroi - GIRLS

Olivia Rodrigo - so american

Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay

Harry Styles - Daylight

The Blurbiness Machine:

We lost Why Why Why, Make You Mine, Slow It Down, and The Door. Why Why Why was great but it had "flop" written all over it. Make You Mine was good but lasted way too long. Good riddance to Slow It Down, overplayed Benson Boone crap. And The Door was great but lasted way too long also, it debuted hitbound all the way back in January.

Instead of having a huge jump or something, It's ok I'm ok held at its spot. Okay, then?

Austin is getting close to the 30 week club, hopefully it can stay a few weeks longer.

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart is gaining a ton in airplay and Good Luck, Babe has lost a ton. I wonder if it can overthrow #1 next week.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

Poll of the Week Results:

  4. Addison Rae - Diet Pepsi: 11.11 % (1 vote)

  1. Idk if this means anything but So High School has been played a couple times this week, so that might mean Hits 1 knows about the next single? I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor wanted to push the love song, and I would be extremely happy if she did. I also think another compilation video of Taylor at a Chiefs game or a music video of her trying to play football would be so fun.
