1. Gracie Abrams - That's So True [+1] {17w} [1 week at #1]
Debuts:
JENNIE and Dua Lipa collab with Handlebars. This is just fine. Everyone sounds great but this is extremely forgettable. Love Hangover deserved to become a hit instead.
Halsey finally debuts with safeword. This should have debuted last week, but better late than never I guess. I really love the punk rock production here, and Halsey's screaming actually works really well with this type of music.
Countdown Extra: Doechii - Anxiety
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else and Lizzo - Love In Real Life [+7]
Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Doechii - DENIAL IS A RIVER and Tate McRae - Revolving door [-4]

Favorite song last year: Haiden Henderson - hell of a good time
Least favorite song last year: Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me

First up, Chappell Roan has released her first new song in almost a year called The Giver. Wow, it's hard to believe it's been that long since she's released new music, because she's been milking a 2 year old album. The Giver is easily my favorite song from her thus far. The country production is really fun, it reminds me of 2000s Taylor Swift when she was still a country singer. And Chappell sounds amazing as always. I have no doubt this song will be a huge hit.
Lizzo is back again with Still Bad. This is pretty fun, I really like the alt vibes this gives. But this isn't as good as Love In Real Life.
BTS member j-hope has his first solo song on Hits 1, and he collabs with Miguel of all people with Sweet Dreams. This is pretty fun and everyone sounds great, but this is very forgettable.
After not picking up on You Happened which released a few weeks ago, Hits 1 decided to pick up on 50/50. I usually love Knox, but this is just extremely forgettable.
Side note, I had no idea Dove Cameron and Damiano David have been dating for 2 years now until Mikey mentioned it in Hitbound...
Exits:
- Lady Gaga - Garden Of Eden [1]
- Daniel Seavey - Lose Me Like You Mean It [1]
- LISA - FXCK UP THE WORLD (Vixi Solo Version) [2]
Garden Of Eden seems to be in the abyss and could debut soon. FXCK UP THE WORLD was just alright. And good riddance to the snoozefest Lose Me Like You Mean It.
2025 Total Dropouts: 46
Estimated total for 2025: 171 (-4)
Abyss
Damiano David - Next Summer
Lady Gaga - Garden Of Eden
Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman
Tyla - PUSH 2 START
Pitbull/Bon Jovi - Now or Never
Eminem/Jelly Roll - Somebody Save Me
Hayes Warner - Oh!
Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us
Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER
Vella - All My Love
The Marías - No One Noticed
Lady Gaga - Disease
Harry Styles - Daylight
WILDFLOWER has officially been pushed to radio so I thought Hits 1 would let it reenter. But I guess not, Hits 1 would rather it rot in the abyss for God knows how long...
Garden of Blurbs:
We lost Slow Motion and Oscar Winning Tears. Oscar Winning Tears was great but was getting kind of old. And good riddance to Slow Motion, it was super forgettable.
Is Mr. Predictable ever gonna do anything besides rot in the bottom spot of the countdown? I literally said this was gonna happen when it debuted.
This is getting ridiculous. Sailor Song refuses to go away. It's already spent more weeks on the countdown than Flowers, the #1 song of 2023, and is one week away from tying the number of weeks Blinding Lights had.
Nice to see Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else and Love In Real Life getting big jumps.
Good News really did not need to reenter the top 10.
I Love You, I'm Sorry barely got any spins this week yet it's still in the top 10.
Welp, I predicted wrong. That's So True hit #1 despite only being #5 in airplay, which gives Gracie Abrams her first ever #1 song. This song is getting quite annoying, and I really hope this doesn't stay #1 for too much longer.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
Poll of the week results:
Best HB Debut?
- Lady Gaga - Garden Of Eden: 30 % (3 votes)
- Imogen Heap - Headlock: 30 % (3 votes)
- almost monday - can't slow down: 20 % (2 votes)

interestingly we got another 30-weeker this week, which means we've had four 30-weekers in just this past year (austin, icdiwabh, boaf, and now dwas)
ReplyDeleteWe need higher exit weeks so that less songs last 30 weeks
