Debuts: 

Bruh, did we really need more Jessie Murph on the countdown? She's back with I'm Not There For You. This song actually isn't that bad. The production is pretty upbeat and Jessie isn't yelling at the top of her lungs for once. This is a lot more tolerable than Blue Strips.

Finally, it's about damn time this song debuted the countdown. Charlie Puth returns to the countdown for the first time in 2 years since That's Not How This Works in 2023 with Changes. This song is nothing short of incredible. The 80s style production is amazing, and sounds like something that would be on a sitcom intro. And Charlie's voice is amazing as always. Hopefully this song does well on the countdown, and maybe go #1.

Charli XCX announced her new album Wuthering Heights releasing on Feb 13th, and here we have the first single from it Chains of Love. Um, I don't know how to feel about this song. This song is just very strange. The production is way too overproduced and Charli has weird vocal filters on her voice. This isn't nearly as good as Everything is romantic, but at least it's a lot better than party 4 u.

5 Seconds Of Summer have finally released their first album in 3 years called Everyone's A Star, and the title track debuts this week. This is the weakest single so far. The production is a bit basic and not that interesting to listen to, but at least the boys sound great as they always do.  

Oh god, MAX and Andy Grammer collabed on a song? Hits 1 is gonna eat this up. They collab with The Thing I Love. Why are 2 artists that haven't been relevant in 10 years collabing together? You would think they would collab with someone more relevant, but I guess not. As for the song itself, this is alright. The production is very Hot AC-core, I can see Hot AC eating this up. But I'm not really sure why Hits 1 felt the need to pick up on this because this doesn't seem very pop-y.

Just what we needed, more Jessie Murph. She replaces herself with I Stay I Leave I Love I Lose. This is just getting ridiculous at this point. This is Jessie's 17th song on Hits 1. She has more songs on Hits 1 than Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Harry Styles, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, and Ellie Goulding. This song is actually kinda good. The production is a bit slow but it's still nice, and Jessie actually sounds good here and not singing at the top of her lungs. This should have been on the countdown instead of I'm Not There For You.

Meghan Trainor has announced her new album Toy With Me which will release April 24th, and we have the first single from it Still Don't Care. This song is pretty fun. The production is generic as hell, but it's still fun and Meghan sounds good here.

Lewis Capaldi replaces himself with The Day That I Die. This is not nearly as good as Almost. This is just another generic ballad from him. But Lewis actually sounds decent here, not like his usual dying frog self.

We lost Sue me and EYES CLOSED. Thankfully EYES CLOSED flopped because it was super boring and didn't deserve to debut in the first place. Sue me was a great song but it was extremely old and really needed to leave.

YUKON has not moved from #29 its entire countdown run. Either jump or leave the countdown to make room for better songs.

I guess MUTT is gonna pull the next NOKIA, rotting for months in the bottom 5 spots. 

Seriously, how is Manchild still here and continuing to jump? This song has gotten quite annoying and needs to leave ASAP.

Mystical Magical finally left the top 10. This song is extremely old and needed to leave months ago. 

Um, Vodka Cranberry really does not need to be in the top 10. 

back to friends jumped to #3. Um, I guess I'll take it.

Wow, I did not expect Golden to stay #1 this week. The Fate of Ophelia took a huge tumble in airplay. I wonder if it's gonna pull a Lavender Haze and get blocked from #1 and never go #1. With back to friends jumping to #3, I wonder if that will be the next #1 song.
