Debuts:
Meghan Trainor is back on the countdown with Still Don't Care after Criminals earlier this year. This song is just alright. This is a fun little bop but feels very generic, but Meghan does sound great here as usual. I wouldn't mind if this ended up doing well.
No Broke Boys has reentered the countdown after it left nearly 3 months ago. This is a great EDM song that went #1 on my personal charts, but it's gotten quite old and really did not need to reenter the countdown. I don't see this lasting too much longer.
Countdown Extra: Charli XCX - Chains of Love
Biggest Jump Of The Week: RAYE - WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! [+9]
Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Lady Gaga - The Dead Dance [-6]
Last year's #1 song: Sabrina Carpenter - Taste (3/5 weeks at #1)
Favorite song last year: Jonah Marais/Ryan Lewis - Slow Motion
Least favorite song last year: Gigi Perez - Sailor Song
Most missed song: Fall Out Boy - We Didn't Start The Fire (2023)
Recommendation for Hits 1: Reneé Rapp - Lucky

Tate MidRae is back with a song that's slightly less mid called NOBODY'S GIRL. This is slightly better than TIT FOR TAT. The production is a lot better than that garbage trap production on TIT FOT TAT, and Tate sounds good here, but this still seems extremely forgettable.
Olivia Dean returns with So Easy (To Fall In Love). This is a nice little song. The jazz production is pretty groovy and Olivia sounds great here, but this seems slightly forgettable. Let's see if this grows on me like Man I Need did.
Kevin Jonas has finally released his first solo song called Changing. This song isn't that great. The production is a bit boring and not really that interesting to listen to, but at least Kevin sounds good.
After having more Tate MidRae this week, I guess we also needed more The Mid LAROI. He's here with A PERFECT WORLD. To be fair, this song does have some interesting 80s style production. But it's more of a 80s ballad, which I'm not a big fan of. The production is a bit boring here, and I guess The Kid LAROI sounds decent.
Exits:
- Camryn Quinlan - ex box [4]
- Jonas Brothers - Backwards [4]
- Selena Gomez - In The Dark [4]
In The Dark was great but it started to fade on me a lot, and the other 2 songs were just mid. Also, next week is the last week for the tracking period for 2025 hitbound dropouts. Songs that drop out of hitbound next week will be the final songs that count towards 2025 hitbound dropouts.
2025 total dropouts: 172
Estimated total for 2025: 175 (-11)
Abyss
JISOO/ZAYN - EYES CLOSED [1]
Benson Boone - Mr Electric Blue [2]
Sabrina Carpenter - When Did You Get Hot? [4]
Louis Tomlinson - Lemonade [5]
Zara Larsson - Crush [10]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Soda Pop [16]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Your Idol [16]
KPop Demon Hunters Cast - How It's Done [16]
Wow, this is the lightest the abyss has been in awhile.
I like digging holes, and hiding blurbs inside them:
We lost Manchild and Mystical Magical. These were both extremely old and needed to leave months ago.
YUKON still refuses to do literally anything.
RIP, Changes and Lover Girl really didn't need to drop back down to the bottom 5.
WHERE IS MY HUSBAND had a huge jump into the top 10. I'll gladly take it.
Man I Need has jumped to the top 5. Umm, okay then. I never in a million years would have thought this would ever be in the top 5, but I'll gladly take it.
The top 4 did not change at all...
How is Golden still #1? The Fate of Ophelia has gone #1 literally everywhere else besides Hits 1, the one station that supposedly stans her the most. Honestly I'm fine with Golden staying #1, and it would be funny if The Fate of Ophelia pulls a Lavender Haze and ends up getting blocked from #1.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
