Olivia Rodrigo (1) - Week of Jun 6, 2026

Hey guys! Well, after my blog got reported as spam 2 nights ago and a bunch of random posts got deleted, luckily it seems as though my blog has been un-reported as spam and my posts have been restored, so luckily it doesn't seem like I need to create a new blog or anything. I literally have no idea what even happened. And while all that was happening, I also passed 800k pageviews. My pageview milestones are passing more quickly than I can create special posts for them. At this point I'm gonna have to turn my 500k pageviews special I'm currently working on into my million pageviews special.

Debuts:

Finally a SIENNA SPIRO song that doesn't make me want to fall asleep. After being the countdown extra last week, her latest song Material Lover from the Devil Wears Prada 2 movie debuts this week. This song is really fun and SIENNA actually sounds good for once.

After dropping out of hitbound back in April, and spending 2 months in the abyss, Click Clack Symphony finally debuts. It's about damn time. This is an absolutely incredible song. The production from Hans Zimmer is amazing and sounds straight out of a movie. The lyrics are amazing, and RAYE sounds amazing as always. I really hope this can have as much success as WHERE IS MY HUSBAND did, and doesn't end up flopping.

After a year absence, we finally have new Ariana Grande music. hate that i made you love me is fine, I guess. It's a lot better than twilight zone, but this is still pretty forgettable.

Countdown Extra: Charli XCX - SS26

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Olivia Rodrigo - the cure and Tame Impala/JENNIE - Dracula (Remix) [+8]

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It AllZara Larsson - Midnight Sun, & Taylor Swift - Elizabeth Taylor [-4]

We have a new Taylor Swift single called I Knew It, I Knew You from the soundtrack of the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie. This is boring as hell. This is supposed to have more of a country feel. In reality, the production is not interesting to listen to at all. Even Taylor sounds bored singing here.

Um, why do we have a random 3 year old Beaches song? Apparently, Edge of the Earth is from the new Amazon show Off Campus. This is mid as hell and not nearly as good as Blame Brett.

We have more Alex Warren this week. PASSENGER is pretty fun. Not nearly as fun as FEVER DREAM, but it could end up growing on me.

ROLE MODEL announced his new album "Chuck Timely & The Hourglass" releasing on Aug 7, and we have the first single from it High Hopes 3000. This is really fun. Not as great as Sally, When The Wine Runs Out, but this could grow on me more.

Niall Horan has just released his new album Dinner Party. I listened to it, and it's mid as hell. Tastes So Good is the "least" mid song from it. At least this song has somewhat of a beat. But this is still forgettable as hell.

Lastly, Lizzo has also released a new album, called BITCH. Happy 2 Be is really fun, and Lizzo sounds good. I wouldn't mind if this ended up becoming a hit.

Blurb Blab Symphony:

We lost So Easy (To Fall In Love), WHERE IS MY HUSBAND, and RUNWAY. RUNWAY started to fade on me, so I don't mind it flopped. So Easy (To Fall In Love) lasted way too long and I have no idea how it managed to get all the way to #2. And speaking of songs lasting too long... after being on the countdown for nearly 8 months, WHERE IS MY HUSBAND has finally left. It is now the best performing non-#1 song in Hits 1 history. So congratulations, I guess.

Nice to see Bring Your Love getting a big jump. Not too thrilled that the cure got one, though.

Um, why did American Girls make a big jump back into almost the top 5?

Nice to see Dracula finally enter the top 5. Only took 21 weeks, but I guess better late than never.

I Just Might only managed a whopping 2 spins per day outside the countdown. Why is this still in the top 5?

drop dead has jumped to #1 this week. I guess I'll take it. It's not her best song, but it's far from her worst. I just hope it doesn't spend too much time at #1. Homewrecker was starting to spend too long at #1. I don't mind that drop dead overtook it, even though I do love Homewrecker more.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
