Debuts:

No debuts, just one reentry. We have the second week in a row with a random high reentry with Edge of the Earth. Like Orbiter, I'm not really sure what the point of letting this reenter was. I don't think this song is doing that well on pop radio to warrant a reentry. This song is fine, I guess. I'd gladly take this reentering over Orbiter.

Countdown Extra: ADÉLA/Julia Michaels - Nicole Kidman

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Alex Warren - PASSENGER [+6]

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Alex Warren - FEVER DREAM [-10]

Last year's #1 song: sombr - undressed (6/8 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Laufey - Lover Girl

Least favorite song last year: Charli XCX - party 4 u

Most missed song: Louis Tomlinson - Out Of My System (2022)

We finally have new ROSÉ music after a year's absence. new trick is solid. This has some interesting K-Rock production, and she sounds pretty good. But she'll never make another song as great as APT, though.

We finally have Miley Cyrus' new album Bass Persuades, and we have the next single from it Let's Get Married. Just when I thought she was starting to get good, she turned back into Midley Cyrus. This has more of an alt rock vibe over the club banger Bass Persuades, but this is extremely forgettable and a bit too long.

Oh yeah, I forgot Freya Skye was a person who existed. She's back with bad taste. I will give her this, this is a big step up from silent treatment. This is a basic girly pop song, but it's a lot more fun than silent treatment and Freya sounds good here.

Oh boy, just what we needed, Knox's 16th song on Hits 1. He replaces himself with Better Than Me. This is a big step down from 4.3 Forty, which actually finally grew on me. This is just way too forgettable. Hopefully there's better songs from his upcoming My Midwest Album that's coming out in 2 weeks.

Ok, we really did not need another Teddy Swims ballad. He's here with Perfect Man. I guess this is slightly better than Break Up In Reverse. It has some interesting gospel production. But this is still way too boring, and I'm not sure Teddy's voice fits this type of music. It doesn't even sound like him in some parts.

One last thing. I was wrong about Joy. After relistening to it, it looks like Hits 1 didn't actually edit out Raye's sisters, so I have un-crossed out their names.

Exits:

  • SIENNA SPIRO - Pure [8]
  • Slayyyter - brand new chanel$ [7]
  • Knox - 4.3 Forty [6]
  • Alex Warren - EMERALD EYES [3]
  • Lexi Jayde - misunderstood [4]

brand new chanel$ and EMERALD EYES find themselves in the abyss. How did EMERALD EYES not debut? It had 66 spins and was the 6th most played song this week.

2026 total dropouts: 142

Estimated total for 2026: 180 (+2)

Abyss

Slayyyter - brand new chanel$ [1]

Alex Warren - EMERALD EYES [1]

MEEK - Fabulous [4]

Akon - RINGTONE [6]

DJ Goja/Jason Derulo/Melody - Mi Chico [7]

SIENNA SPIRO - Great Expectation [7]

Nicole Blurbman:

Just one exit, we lost Orbiter for a second time. Good riddance. Why did this reenter so high just for it to leave the next week? Hopefully this stays gone for good.

It looks like FEVER DREAM might finally be on its way out.

Nice to see Repeat It and PASSENGER back in the top 10.

House Tour jumped back up to #3. Can it just go #1 already?

Sigh. I was really hoping this song wouldn't go #1, but it was only a matter of time until it did. I Knew It, I Knew You has finally gone #1. I mean, this isn't the worst Taylor Swift song, but this song is just so extremely forgettable. I have no idea how this song is #1 worthy.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
