Debuts:

Any songs that I haven't reviewed yet, I'll just review them when they leave the countdown.

Knox brings his second song on the countdown with Me, Myself & Your Eyes. I actually randomly discovered Knox back in August of last year so I'm glad Hits 1 decided to pick up on him. Me, Myself & Your Eyes is yet another banger from him.

Selena Gomez is back with Love On after that insanely forgettable song Single Soon last year. This is so much better than Single Soon. This is super fun and I really like the lyrics.

Countdown Extra: SZA - Saturn

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Doja Cat - Agora Hills (+6)

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Thirty Seconds to Mars - Seasons (-8)

Last year's #1 song: Miley Cyrus - Flowers (4/6 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Tyla - Been Thinking

Least favorite song last year: JVKE - golden hour

Most missed song: Muse - Uprising (2009)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Jason Derulo/David Guetta - Down

Hitbound:

Teddy Swims - The Door

Twenty One Pilots - Overcompensate (Debut)

Alec Benjamin - Pick Me

Galantis/David Guetta/5 Seconds of Summer - Lighter (Debut)

LAY/LAUV - Run Back To You (Debut)

The Beaches - Blame Brett

Surfaces/JVKE - Don't Let Me Down (Debut)

Fall Out Boy - So Much (for) Stardust

Jessie Murph - Son of a Bitch

Liam Payne - Teardrops (Debut)

Pharrell Williams/Miley Cyrus - Doctor (Work It Out) (Debut)

Jagwar Twin - Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)

Alex Warren - Before You Leave Me

Crash Adams - Good Side

Willow Avalon - Honey Ain't No Sweeter

Nicky Youre - S.A.D.

Twenty One Pilots is back after 3 years with Overcompensate. I usually really like Twenty One Pilots, but this ain't it. This is just way too weird and the production kinda sucks. Hopefully the other songs off their new album will be better.

5 Seconds of Summer is back after 2 years with Lighter. Amazing EDM song and the production from Galantis and David Guetta is really fun.

K-pop singer LAY teams up with LAUV for Run Back To You. The production is really fun and LAY and LAUV both sound great.

The Sunday Best people and JVKE team up for Don't Let Me Down. The production is kinda fun and they both sound good but this is very forgettable.

Liam Payne is back on Hits 1 since Midnight from 2020 with Teardrops. This is alright. The production is good and Liam sounds good but this is kinda forgettable.

Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus team up for Doctor (Work It Out). This was originally going to be on Miley's 2013 album Bangerz but was scrapped but she decided to re-record it. Pharrell doesn't sing on this song, he just does the production, which is disappointing, but this song is still great nonetheless. Miley sounds great and the production is really fun.

Exits:

Madison Beer - Make You Mine

SZA - Saturn

Justin Timberlake - Drown

Eliza Rose/Calvin Harris - Body Moving

Saturn left despite being the countdown extra. Make You Mine and Drown were alright. And Body Moving was really fun.

Abyss:

MAX/HUH YUNJIN - STUPID IN LOVE

LANY - XXL

Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson - Save Me

Usher - Kissing Strangers

Morgan Wallen - Thinkin' Bout Me

The Weeknd/JENNIE/Lily-Rose Depp - One Of The Girls

girl in red - Too Much

Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM

Panic! At The Disco - New Perspective

Shinedown - A Symptom of Being Human

Jennifer Lopez/Latto - Can't Get Enough

FLETCHER - Lead Me On

Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder on the Dancefloor

I'm not sure why Hits 1 is playing a random Panic! At The Disco song from 2009 but I guess I'll take it.

Me, Myself & Your Blurbs:

We lost Stupid In Love and Strangers. Stupid In Love was super fun and had a ton of airplay so I'm not sure why it left. And Strangers was just another generic Lewis Capaldi ballad.

I wish Hits 1 would switch to the Usher remix of Standing Next to You. It makes a fantastic song 1000x better.

Can 'annoy him back' please go away?

Really nice to see Not The 1975 in the top 5. I really hope this can get #1.

I literally can't escape Is It Over Now. It plays every time I turn on Hits 1 and it's getting really annoying.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
