Debuts:
After spending two months in hitbound and another two months in the abyss, 12 to 12 finally debuts. It's about damn time. This is easily his best song so far. The alt production is super cool, and sombr sounds great. Hopefully this does well.

Katy Perry is finally back after a year with bandaids after her album 143 flopped hard last year. This is really good. I'm glad she's finally going back to her pop rock roots instead of whatever the hell 143 was. Will this finally be Katy's first song in forever that won't flop?
Geez, Hilary Duff is a name I have not heard in a long time. She's back with Mature after not making any music for almost a decade. The last time she was on Hits 1 was all the way back in 2007 when Your Love was on the countdown. It's almost been 20 years since she was last seen on Hits 1, that's gotta be a record. Anyways, for the song itself, I'm not really feeling this song. The production is extremely forgettable and a little boring, and Hilary does not sound that great here. Hopefully she releases some better music soon.
So apparently Alessi Rose has just turned full Olivia Rodrigo now. She went full alternative pop rock with Get Around. Wow, this is the best song I've heard from her thus far, even better than First Original Thought. Hopefully this ends up debuting the countdown.
Tame Impala is back with Dracula after Neverender spent 4 months in the abyss. This is pretty good, it's slightly better than Neverender. The synthpop production is pretty upbeat but feels a bit generic, and his voice is decent. I don't really see this lasting that long in hitbound.
Exits:
- Demi Lovato - Let You Go [2]
- Charlie Puth - Changes [3]
- Charli XCX - Everything is romantic [3]
Let You Go and Changes find themselves in the abyss and will probably debut next week. Everything is romantic was great but it was starting to fade on me.
2025 total dropouts: 165
Estimated total for 2025: 180 (=)
Abyss
Charlie Puth - Changes [1]
Demi Lovato - Let You Go [1]
Sabrina Carpenter - When Did You Get Hot? [2]

Disco Lines/Tinashe - No Broke Boys [10]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Soda Pop [14]
Saja Boys/KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Your Idol [14]
KPop Demon Hunters Cast - How It's Done [14]
made me a blurb:
Just one exit this week, Crush. This got robbed on the countdown. It's still in the abyss so it could reenter, but I doubt since Hits 1 seems to hate Zara Larsson for some reason.
Nice to see Gone Gone Gone and WHERE IS MY HUSBAND getting big jumps.
For the first time since July, Mystical Magical has finally left the top 6. This song is extremely old and really needs to leave. It's performed better on the countdown than Blinding Lights for crying out loud!
Eww Camera did not need to reenter the top 5.
The entire top 4 did not change at all. I was almost certain The Fate of Ophelia would jump to #1 this week, but I guess not. I feel like it probably will next week.
That's all for now, see you all next week!

No wonder Olivia the StarEater doesn't like Sabrina Carpenflop that blonde girl because Sabrinflop Carpenter cant even surpass my super mega ultra #13 hit. Take that Sabrina Carpflopter.
Deletedid Nice To Each Other pass any Sabrina Carpenter songs?

DeleteWhat was Almost Love's countdown run?

Leona Lewis - Flop In Time
Leona Lewis - I Will Flop
how close is lover girl to surpassing tayflop swift's lover? which tayflop swift songs have I surpassed?
ReplyDeleteLover Girl is 55,645 points points away from passing Lover. The only Taylor Swift songs it has passed are Run (Taylor's Version) and Welcome to New York.
DeleteEthan, I just finished doing The Pulse Countdown back through 2023. Can I show you the data by chance?
ReplyDeleteOr can I show you some stats from it if you dont want to open another spreadsheet?
DeleteI don't particularly care to see stats from a spreadsheet, but if you were to make a post about it I would read it.
DeleteIs there any statistics about 2023 or 2024 or Summer 2025 that you would want to see?
DeleteIdk, I don't really pay that much attention to The Pulse anymore. You can do best performing song of each year, worst performing #1 song, most weeks on the countdown, etc.
DeleteAlright, I will. Thanks!
DeleteAlso, Question. You made a list about the best performing songs at each peak, can you do one for the worst performing?
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought about making that post. I'm currently working on the 2019 ultimate rank, once I'm done with that I will start working on that post.
DeleteAlright!
DeleteI thought of another idea, the best performing songs on Hits 1 based on the amount of weeks each song had. so like Trustfall would likely be the best performing 1 weeker with a #13 peak.
DeleteThat's a good idea, I'll add that to my list of posts.
DeleteEthan and others, Go predict who will win what at the 2024 Guitar Ballad Awards!
ReplyDeletehttps://danielsmusicblog1.blogspot.com/2025/11/the-2024-guitar-ballad-awards-pulse.html
I just gave you your score if you want to see.
DeleteEthan do you still get your images from ChatGPT?
ReplyDeleteNot anymore. Sometimes I use Google Nano Banana to add text to an already existing image.
DeleteOh is that were that diamond in the bottom right comes from?
DeleteYeah
DeleteEthan, I have a little game for you. I'll give you 5 blurbs from random posts on your blog between 2022 and now and you have to guess what songs and artists i redacted. Try to see what you can do without searching!
ReplyDelete1. (July 9th, 2022) Um, did I just get Rick Rolled in 2022? Because that's just what happened in by Yes, this song samples Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. This reminds me a lot of First Class. It has a sample of a song playing in the background. Unlike Jack Harlow, is actually rapping as opposed to whatever whisper rapping Jack is doing. Like Jiggle Jiggle, I shouldn't like this song. But this song is too stupid to hate.
2. (August 26th, 2023) is back with after having that song earlier this year that refused to leave hitbound. This is a lot better than . It's pretty fun and sounds good.
3. (September 28th, 2024) It's been a very hot minute since we've seen on the countdown. They were last seen with and in 2017, and then dropped out of hitbound last year. They're back with with a new female singer . She'll never be as good as , but she still sounds great. This has grown on me a lot since it entered hitbound a few weeks ago. The production slaps and and both sound great together.
4. (August 30th, 2025) Nice to see holding off from #1 yet again. Hopefully it can continue to do so.
I made it 4 cuz i didnt want to make an even bigger wall of text. Anyways Enjoy!
Delete1. That's easy. Yung Gravy - Betty (Get Money)
Delete2. I have no idea
3. Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine
4. sombr - undressed
2 was Jordi - Just A Friend. I'm sure you vividly remember it /s
Deleteoh God you didn't have to remind me that Jordi existed
DeleteI have finally completed the 2019 Hits 1 ultimate rank! Check it out here or up on the header: https://zestpond.blogspot.com/p/2019-ultimate-rank.html
ReplyDeleteBesides High Hopes, are there any other songs that are big all-time but got caught between years?
DeleteAlso, If you added a multiplier of 1.3x-1.5x to songs under the 30 songs countdown, would High Hopes still be #1? I think adding a multiplier would be good because it's harder to get a better performing song under 30 song countdowns.
There's been several songs that are big all time and got caught between years. Closer, Counting Stars, Shake It Off, and Timber. And more recently Greedy, APT, and Die With a Smile.
DeleteAs for the multiplier thing, I don't feel it's necessary. Songs in the bottom 15 on the 45 song countdown barely got any points. For example, Shut Up and Dance only spent 5 of its 53 week run in the bottom 15 of the countdown. So even if the countdown was only 30 songs back then, it would have spent 48 weeks in the top 30 anyways.
Yeah, But I feel like the countdown itself worked differently under 45 songs. with 45 songs there weren't enough currents to only use currents, so they put in older songs and those could stay a year or more at times. Nowadays a song is insanely lucky if it can last half a year. Would you be able to see how it would work? I feel like it would be fairer to the newer songs because it seems like none of the newer songs under a 30 song countdown would even be in the top 10 of all time.
DeleteI ain't doing all that. I would have to manually multiply hundreds of songs. That would take forever.
DeleteI meant like to start with you can do some of the big 2020s songs, and then if you like it you can continue.
Deleteum, why is What's Up by 4 Non Blondes in the abyss?
ReplyDeleteIt is? ☠️
DeleteYep lol
DeleteEthan, Guess what? HOTF Artist Interviews are a real thing now. Tanner Grigoli interview at 7:00pm Mountain, i know you won't listen but i'm so excited i just wanted to tell you that!!!!
ReplyDeleteWho the hell is Tanner Grigoli? What's the link to listen? I might actually listen because at least an interview is something different.
DeleteTanner Grigoli is the artist from the song Love You Right that i showed you a week or two ago. I forgot what you said about it lol.
DeleteThanks for being willing to listen! If you're still interested tomorrow you can listen at 7pm MST https://radiocast.net/stations/987-tucson
https://www.mixcloud.com/Daniel1784/hits-of-the-future-november-13th-2025/
DeleteI decided to listen to the entirety of HOTF. And I remembered why I stopped listening to HOTF. None of the songs were that great. I don't remember what a single song sounded like. The song that Tanner chose for his throwback sounded kinda cool though. I liked the interviews with Tanner throughout the show. How did you manage to get an interview with him?
DeleteI just emailed him lol and he was interested so!
Deleteand It's okay that you don't like HOTF, everyone has different tastes!
not you sounding like ai
DeleteI love how I’m either begging annoyingly or i sound like AI, there’s no in between…
