Countdown Extra: love me or leave me alone - Amelia Moore
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Music For A Sushi Restaurant - Harry Styles (+9) . Um, how? It got barely any airplay.
Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Me Myself & I - 5 Seconds Of Summer and So Good - Halsey (-11). Yes, these songs both suck.
Last year's #1: Bad Habits - Ed Sheeran (3/5 weeks at #1)
Favorite song last year: Love Tonight - Shouse
Least favorite song last year: Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish
Most missed countdown song: One Of The Boys - Katy Perry (2008)
Least missed countdown song: Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars (2014)
Most missed hitbound dropout: Best Friend - Sofi Tukker (2018)
Least missed hitbound dropout: Girls Want Girls - Drake/Lil Baby (2021)
Debuts:
Nicki Minaj is back on the countdown since 2019's Dumb Blonde with Avril Lavigne, with Super Freaky Girl. This samples Super Freak by Rick James. This song is super fun, and Nicki's rapping sounds good.
Russ finally has a song on the countdown, after Handsomer dropped out of hitbound earlier in the year. After hearing this song a few times, I've warmed up to it a little bit. The trap production is kinda annoying, but Russ and Ed Sheeran don't sound too bad.
Hitbound:
Drowsy - OHNO (re-entry)
29 - Demi Lovato (Debut)
Ferrari - James Hype/Miggy Dela Rosa
MANIAC - Macklemore/Windser (Debut)
Pink Venom - BLACKPINK (Debut)
Someone to Blame - Dixie
Don't Let The Light Go Out - Panic! At The Disco (Debut)
love me or leave me alone - Amelia Moore
rain rain go away - Havanna Winter
Make You Say - Zedd/Maren Morris/BEAUZ (Debut)
All the Things I Hate About You - Huddy
Sucks to Know You (FU) - Mergui
Come Back Home - Sofia Carson (Debut)
Last Last - Burna Boy (Debut)
SNAP - Rosa Linn
Obsessed - Calvin Harris/Charlie Puth/Shenseea
Drowsy re-entered. Okay, I guess?
Next is Demi Lovato's newest song off of her new album Holy Fvck, called 29. This song is not very good. The production's kinda messy, and Demi's screaming like Amelia Moore in the chorus.
Next is Manic. No, not by Conan Grey, by Macklemore. It's been a while since Macklemore's been on Hits 1. I'm pretty sure the last time he was here was 2019's Summer Days. Anyways, this song's good, but Macklemore has made better songs than this.
Blackpink is back after 2020's Ice Cream, with Pink Venom. I know everyone hates this song, but I actually quite like it. The production's interesting and Blackpink doesn't sound that bad.
Panic! At The Disco's new album Viva Las Vengeance was just released, and we have Don't Let The Light Go Out. This one's pretty good. It's a bit on the slower side, but I really like the production. The melody sounds like it came from an 80s song or something.
Zedd and Maren Morris collabed again after the super annoying The Middle from 2018, with Make You Say. This is way better than The Middle. I really like the production, and Maren actually isn't annoying for once!
Next up is the Disney Channel star Sofia Carson with Come Back Home. This is fine, I guess. It's super boring, but Sofia sounds alright.
Hits 1, can we please stop picking up on Afropop, after the disaster that was Love Nwantiti? We have Last Last by Burna Boy. This song is alright. The production is kinda repetitive, but at least Burna Boy is singing, unlike CKay's mumble singing.

what would you do? - Tate McRae
Staying Alive - DJ Khaled/Drake/Lil Baby
Her - Megan Thee Stallion
toxic energy - blackbear/The Used

He want a freaky blurb:
We lost Running Up That Hill and 2step. RUTH should never had debuted in the first place. 2step had a good run here, but got really annoying.
Um, Music For A Sushi Restaurant barely got one spin a day, how did it jump 9 spots? Oh yeah, Hits 1 stans Harry Styles!
Haha, ⛪fell 2 spots.
Yay, I Ain't Worried and Don't You Worry both jumped!
Left and Right jumped to #3. Hopefully it can hit #1 soon.
No way, Nicky Youre denied Harry The Clown #1 again! We need to keep fighting against the Harry stans!
That's all for now, see you all next week!
