Nicky Youre - Week Of July 9, 2022

Corrupted Sunroof

Hey all, what's up? I have extended the due date of my rankdown to July 30. You can find it here https://zestpond.blogspot.com/2022/06/every-1-song-on-weekend-countdown.html or up on my header. This countdown was both good and bad. The good obviously being the #1 song has changed. The bad being an amazing song left hitbound and is now in the abyss.

Before we get to this week's fresh 30, let's say goodbye to the songs leaving the countdown:

Countdown extra: Disaster - Conan Gray

Biggest Jump Of The Week: SUPERMODEL - Måneskin (+7) Let's go! This song is amazing and deserves to be in the top 10.

Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Me, Myself & I - 5 Seconds Of Summer (-5) and Out Of Time - The Weeknd (-5) MM&I is kinda starting to get annoying. As for Out Of Time, I think I'm the only one who likes this song. I like the 80s vaporwave feel.

Debuts:

Break My Soul by Beyonce finally makes its way out of the abyss. I really like this song. I like the 90s house beat and Beyonce's voice is amazing as always.

Until I Found You re-entered. I'm starting to come around to this song, but it didn't need to enter over Don't You Worry.

most missed countdown song: Demeanor - Pop Smoke/Dua Lipa (2021)

Hitbound (excluding 1TW and Sunday Bests):

the idea - blackbear (Debut)

Glimpse of Us - Joji ⛪

W.I.T.C.H. (Woman In Total Control Of Herself) - Devon Cole (Debut)

Victoria's Secret - Jax (Debut)

Baby Boo - Muni Long/Saweetie

Got Me Good - DNCE (Debut)

Wasted On You - Morgan Wallen

Someone to Blame - Dixie (Debut)

Life's Too Short - aespa

Disaster - Conan Gray

Breakfast - Dove Cameron

Booty - Saucy Santana, Latto (re-entry)

Dress - Charlotte Sands

Betty (Get Money) - Yung Gravy (Debut)

blackbear is back with the idea. This song is pretty good. I like the pop punk production and blackbear sounds good as always. However, this song is kinda basic and not that memorable.

Someone I have never heard of named Devon Cole is here with W.I.T.C.H. (Woman In Total Control Of Herself). This song is pretty good. It's pretty fun and catchy, and Devon sounds pretty good.

Wow, everyone is making pop punk songs, including Jax. Victoria's Secret is amazing. The pop punk production is incredible, and Jax's voice surprisingly works well.

I don't know how to feel about DNCE's new song Got Me Good. The production is pretty good, but Joe Jonas sounds really weird. They put some kinda filter on it and it sounds super strange. It kinda puts me off from the whole song. Overall a really strange song.

Really Hits 1, we don't need more Dixie. Dixie replaces herself with Someone To Blame. This song is better than A Letter To Me, but it's still generic and boring.

Did Booty really need to re-enter? I do like this song, though. It's just super fun and I like the Crazy In Love sample.

Um, did I just get Rick Rolled in 2022? Because that's just what happened in Betty (Get Money) by Yung Gravy. Yes, this song samples Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. This reminds me a lot of First Class. It has a sample of a song playing in the background. Unlike Jack Harlow, Yung Gravy is actually rapping as opposed to whatever whisper rapping Jack is doing. Like Jiggle Jiggle, I shouldn't like this song. But this song is too stupid to hate.

Exits:

DON'T YOU WORRY - Black Eyed Peas/Shakira/David Guetta

Bois Lie - Avril Lavigne/Machine Gun Kelly

a letter to me - Dixie

Angry Woman - Ashe

Leah Kate - Twinkle Twinkle Little B****

die first - Nessa Barrett

DON'T YOU WORRY is now in the abyss. I'm sad to see Twinkle Twinkle Little B**** go. And the rest of the songs I didn't really care about.

Abyss:

Hot Ish - Cardi B, Kanye West, Lil Durk

Daylight - Harry Styles

Want Want - Maggie Rogers

Viva Las Vengeance - Panic! At the Disco

Flowers - Lauren Spencer-Smith

DON'T YOU WORRY - Black Eyed Peas/Shakira/David Guetta

this is what falling in love feels like - JVKE

Until I Found You - Stephen Sanchez

Get Into It (Yuh) - Doja Cat

Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush 👵

Music For A Sushi Restaurant - Harry Styles

I Ain't Worried - OneRepublic

Hot Ish by Cardi B, Kanye West, and Lil Durk played once on Hits 1, so it's eligible for the abyss. It's okay, I guess. I'll give my full thoughts on it if it debuts hitbound or the countdown.

No, no, no! Don't You Worry went to the abyss, a place I don't want it going. Unlike I Love U, I'm confident that Don't You Worry will debut. It's getting played a lot on my local station and other pop stations.

TikTok Top 5:

#5    I Like You

#4    Glimpse of Us

#3    Booty

#2    Music For a Sushi Restaurant

#1    Vegas

You won't break my blurbs:

We lost Bam Bam and Hold My Hand. Bam Bam was starting to get really overplayed and annoying, so I'm glad it's gone. Hold My Hand was good and deserved better.

Why are Sweetest Pie and Numb Little Bug still here? They're really starting to piss me off.

So Good and Love Me More haven't been here long, but they're starting to get really annoying.

10 things i hate about you and All 4 Nothing are also getting really annoying.

Celebrate good times, come on! Yes, after 8 long excruciating weeks at #1, Ass It Was has finally left #1! And none other to take the #1 spot than Sunroof. Yeah, this song totally deserves #1. It deserved #1 more than Harry The Clown. This is the perfect summer song. I have a feeling Nicky Youre won't be #1 for long. Late Night Talking is almost certainly hitting #1 in the near future. But let's just enjoy this moment while we can.

Bye for now, see you next week!
