Debuts:

Mourning re-entered. I'm not sure why it left in the first place but good to have it back.

The only new debut this week is Doechii with the solo version of What It Is. This is a really fun rap song and Doechii sounds great.

FIFTY FIFTY/Kaliii - Barbie Dreams (Debut)

d4vd - Here With Me {4}

Benson Boone - In The Stars {7}

(G)I-DLE - I DO (Debut)

Billie Eilish released a new song from the Barbie movie What Was I Made For and of course this has to be another boring Billie ballad. What happened Billie, why can't you go back to making exciting music? The production and Billie sound decent but this is just way too boring.

Troye Sivan is back with Rush. This is really fun and catchy and Troye sounds good.

Crash Adams replace themselves with Sugar Mommy. This is another banger from them and it's super fun.

Hayes Warner, an up and coming artist from NYC, is here with Dead To Me. I really like the production, it reminds me a lot of American Psycho from Marshmello. And Hayes has a great voice.

Jung Kook and Latto make the weirdest collab ever with Seven. This song is surprisingly good. It's really fun and Jung Kook and Latto both sound great.

We have the second Barbie soundtrack debut this week, FIFTY FIFTY and Kaliii with Barbie Dreams. Apparently Kali changed her stage name to Kaliii, because 1 'i' wasn't enough. This is really fun and everyone sounds great.

Kpop girl group (G)I-DLE make their Hits 1 debut with I DO. This is pretty fun and everyone sounds good.

Exits:

Jain - Makeba {2}

Coi Leray/David Guetta - Make My Day {2}

Crash Adams - Lucky {6}

Metro Boomin/NAV/A Boogie Wit da Hoodie/Swae Lee - Calling {2}

Jessie Murph/Maren Morris - Texas {5}

Tai Verdes - Sandman {3}

Makeba is in the abyss. Make My Day and Lucky were great. And the rest I didn't care about.

Abyss:

Halsey - Die 4 Me

Miguel - Sure Thing

Bakar - Hell N Back

Taylor Swift  - You're Losing Me (From The Vault)

Havanna Winter - Tornado

iCandy - Keep Dat

Jain - Makeba

Sugar blurbs:

We lost Daylight and Happy. Good riddance to Daylight, this lasted way too long and never should have became a hit. And it's a shame that Happy got robbed on the countdown not twice but three times.

How is I'm In Love With You still here? It's a great song but it's getting really old now.

Aww I thought vampire could pull a good 4 u but it only jumped to #20. Hopefully it can jump more soon.

Karma took a huge drop out of the top 10. Please get this old song out of here.

Eyes Closed go away challenge (impossible).

Give Me A Kiss is somehow up to #3, but I will gladly take it.

Waffle House is surprisingly still #1 this week. If Chemical or Give Me A Kiss could hurry up and hit #1 that would be great.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

    1. All right, you asked for it. Let's buckle up and dive right into this pit of musical despair, also known as "Jumpin'" by Pitbull and Lil Jon. The fact that this auditory assault is anywhere near the top 25 songs chart is an affront to music lovers everywhere.

      First off, let's talk about originality, or rather the total and complete absence of it in this track. We've got Pitbull and Lil Jon raiding their own discographies like musical grave robbers, looking for that one beat or hook that might still have a pulse. Spoiler alert: they didn't find it. Instead, we've got a stale, worn-out club beat that's as original as a photocopy of a photocopy.

      Then there are the lyrics. I've seen more complexity in a fortune cookie. It's as if they threw a bunch of party buzzwords into a blender and just poured the results over the track. And Lil Jon's "yeahhh" and "okayyy" - I mean, come on, if your artistic signature is screaming two words, maybe it's time for a rebrand.

      But the real travesty here isn't just the soul-crushing mediocrity of the song itself. No, it's the fact that it has landed in the top 25, and by doing so, it has pulled the bar for musical success so low it's practically subterranean. What message does that send to up-and-coming artists? Don't worry about being creative or original, just serve up the same tired party anthems again and again. Heck, why even bother writing new lyrics? Just grab a dictionary, pick a few words at random, throw in a beat and voila, you're on the charts.

      We're living in a golden age of music, with artists pushing boundaries and challenging norms every single day. Yet, the charts have become a mausoleum for originality and creativity, instead celebrating the same formulaic nonsense over and over again.

      "Jumpin'" is more than just a bad song; it's a symptom of a music industry that seems to have lost its way, prioritizing catchy but soulless tunes over songs that truly touch the heart and stimulate the mind. And to see such a prime example of this problem make it to the top of the charts? Well, that just feels like a slap in the face to music lovers everywhere.

      But hey, what do I know? After all, I'm just someone who believes that music should be more than just a commodity. It should be an expression of the human spirit, a reflection of our emotions, our hopes, our fears. "Jumpin'" is a far cry from that lofty ideal. It's a disheartening testament to the state of mainstream music, and I can only hope that it serves as a wake-up call to artists and listeners alike. We can, and we should, expect better.
