Debuts, or I guess, reentries:

No debuts this week, just 2 reentries. Made For Me reentered. I guess I'm okay with this back. The 90s/2000s R&B production is pretty cool and Muni Long sounds great.

so american reentered at #9, having the highest reentry since Cruel Summer reentered at #9 on July 1st last year. This is just now being pushed as the next single and Hits 1 just originally picked up on it too early. This has faded on me slightly. The production is pretty fun and Olivia sounds alright but this is going to get really annoying really quickly like all her songs do.

Countdown Extra: Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Eminem - Houdini [+8]

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Kane Brown/Marshmello - Miles On It [-5]

Last year's #1 song: Taylor Swift/Ice Spice - Karma (Remix) (2/4 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Dominic Fike - Mona Lisa

Least favorite song last year: Ed Sheeran - Eyes Closed

Most missed song: The Ataris - The Boys of Summer (2003)

Recommendation for Hits 1: Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon

  4. Tie between Madison Beer - Make You Mine, Dasha - Austin, Olivia Rodrigo - obsessed, and Hozier - Too Sweet {11w}
  5. Tie between Beyoncé/Miley Cyrus - II MOST WANTED and Dasha - Austin {10w}

Hitbound

Saweetie - NANi [4]

Imagine Dragons - Nice To Meet You [3]

Charli XCX - 360 [5]

Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay [Debut]

Dua Lipa - These Walls [7]

Wallows - Calling After Me [4]

Lay Bankz - Tell Ur Girlfriend [8]

RAYE - Genesis, pt. ii [2]

Henry Moodie - drunk text [5]

Isabel LaRosa - favorite [Debut]

Gracie Abrams - Close To You [2]

Tyla/Gunna/Skillibeng - Jump [5]

Myles Smith - Stargazing [4]

Teddy Swims - Hammer to the Heart [6]

Halsey - The End [2]

Knox - Change Your Mind [9]

Wow, only 2 debuts this week. First up is Jelly Roll with I Am Not Okay. This is pretty good. Better than Save Me but not as good as Need A Favor. The production is solid but kinda forgettable and Jelly Roll sounds alright.

Isabel LaRosa is back with favorite after having that really boring hitbound dropout I'm Yours back in 2022. This is a lot better than I'm Yours. The reggae production is pretty cool and her voice is pretty good.

Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please [1]

Meghan Trainor - Whoops [1]

Both these songs find themselves in the abyss.

Abyss

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon

Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please

Meghan Trainor - Whoops

Black Eyed Peas/El Alfa/Becky G - TONIGHT (Bad Boys Ride Or Die)

Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start

d4vd - Feel It

Harry Styles - Daylight

RM - Come Back To Me

Shinedown - A Symptom of Being Human

Mark Ambor - Belong Together

Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson - Save Me

Me, Myself & Your Blurbs:

We lost we can’t be friends and Saturn. Good riddance to both of them, especially Saturn. Saturn was overplayed boring weird SZA garbage, and we can’t be friends was Ariana mediocrity.

Houdini becomes my purple song. And with Saturn gone, I no longer have an orange song.

Seriously how is I Can Do It With A Broken Heart still here. It's barely gotten 1 spin a day for the past 5 weeks.

Why on earth is End of Beginning in the top 5? It's one of the most forgettable songs ever made.

That's all for now, see you all next week!

  2. I'm expecting a big week next week, with Genesis, I Am Not Okay, Stargazing, and Favorite all going for adds rn, and Calling After Me reaching the top 50 on Mediabase this week. Also, Dua Lipa is releasing a music video for Falling Forever soon enough.

Sabrina Carpenter (1) - Week of Jun 22, 2024

Hey guys, what's up? This was a good but weird week. We had some really big jumps that didn't really make sense and we have a new #1...
