Debuts:
Coldplay make their return to the countdown in 3 years since My Universe in 2021 with feelslikeimfallinginlove. The production is kinda basic but still very beautiful and Chris Martin sounds amazing as always.
Gracie Abrams brings her second song on the countdown with Close To You. This is pretty good but not as good as Risk. The production is a bit basic but Gracie sounds really good.
Debuting all the way up at #17 for some unknown reason and being in the abyss for months, Belong Together finally debuts. The production is pretty upbeat but a bit basic and Mark Ambor sounds alright.
Countdown Extra: Post Malone/Blake Shelton - Pour Me A Drink
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Sabrina Carpenter - Please Please Please [+9]
Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tie between Marshmello/Kane Brown - Miles On It and Benson Boone - Slow It Down [-5]

Least favorite song last year: Lewis Capaldi - Wish You The Best

Hitbound
RAYE - Genesis, pt. ii [3] [reentry]
Knox - Treadmill [Debut]
Isabel LaRosa - favorite [3]
Ashe - Running Out Of Time [Debut]
Crash Adams - Hotel Party [Debut]
BIA/JID - LIGHTS OUT [2]
UPSAHL - Summer So Hot [2]
LISA - Rockstar [Debut]
Gracie Abrams/Taylor Swift - us. [2]
Camila Cabello/Drake - HOT UPTOWN [Debut]
KATSEYE - Debut [Debut]
Henry Moodie - bad emotions [2]
The Kid LAROI - GIRLS [Debut]
Lawrence - Whatcha Want [2]
BIBI/Jackson Wang - Feeling Lucky [2]
Imagine Dragons - Nice To Meet You [5]
These first two debuts are so amazing they both deserve a purple ranking. Knox makes his return after Change Your Mind flopped with Treadmill. This is easily his best song since Not The 1975. This is so insanely fun and catchy and Knox sounds amazing as always.
Crash Adams make their return with Hotel Party. And oh my this is such a bop. This kind of reminds me of Kissing Strangers by DNCE. This is insanely fun and Crash Adams sound great as always.
Genesis is back on hitbound. It's rare to see a reentry that was in the abyss since the song just usually stays in the abyss, but glad to see it back.
Hits 1 favorite Ashe has made her "grand" return to Hits 1 after 2 years with Running Out Of Time. And it's actually not that bad. The production is fine but extremely generic but Ashe sounds a lot better than she used to.
LISA makes her return to Hits 1 after that very weird but still kinda slapped song MONEY from 2021 with Rockstar. Rockstar is basically just MONEY, but slightly less weird. The production is pretty fun and LISA sounds pretty good.
Camila Cabello just released her new album C,XOXO and here she is with Drake with HOT UPTOWN. The production is pretty upbeat but generic and Camila and Drake both sound alright.
International girl group KATSEYE debut with, well, Debut. This is fun, the girls sound great, but it's way too short. It's barely 2 minutes long.
The Mid LAROI is back with a song that actually isn't that mid - GIRLS. The production is pretty fun, The Kid LAROI sounds great, but this feels slightly forgettable.
Post Malone/Blake Shelton - Pour Me A Drink [1]
Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay [2]
Teddy Swims - Hammer to the Heart [7]
Lay Bankz - Tell Ur Girlfriend [9]
Myles Smith - Stargazing [5]
Wallows - Calling After Me [5] [2nd time]
Henry Moodie - drunk text [5]
Pour Me A Drink and I Am Not Okay find themselves in the abyss. I'm not sure why Hits 1 tried to push Hammer to the Heart when The Door was already the next single. Tell Ur Girlfriend lasted way too long. drunk text was super mid. And Calling After Me and Stargazing were just alright.
Abyss
Post Malone/Blake Shelton - Pour Me A Drink
Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO!
Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon
Black Eyed Peas/El Alfa/Becky G - TONIGHT (Bad Boys Ride Or Die)
Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start
Harry Styles - Daylight
RM - Come Back To Me
Shinedown - A Symptom of Being Human
Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson - Save Me
Running Out Of Blurbs:
We lost obsessed, Me, Myself & Your Eyes, and The Craving. Good riddance to obsessed. It started off as my purple song but quickly got super annoying like all her songs do. Me, Myself & Your Eyes had a great countdown run and let's hope Hits 1 pushes Treadmill. And poor Twenty One Pilots, they had 3 flops in a row. And The Craving was starting to grow on me a little.
Why is Beautiful Things jumping? It's very old and should probably leave.
I'm not sure why Make You Mine is doing so well because it seems like one the of most forgettable songs ever made.
I literally have no words to explain how I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is in the top 10 without any airplay.
RIP, it looks like I Had Some Help will probably end up being blocked from #1.
Too Sweet jumped back up to #2. Maybe it can take the #1 spot again from Espresso?
That's all for now, see you all next week!
