Debuts:
These first two debuts make their way out of the abyss after spending one week in it. First up is Sabrina Carpenter with Please Please Please. This has grown on me slightly. It's fun but very forgettable and Sabrina sounds pretty good.
Meghan Trainor also makes her way out of the abyss with Whoops. This is a fun but very forgettable Meghan bop.
Charli xcx is here with 360. This is pretty fun and Charli sounds good but this is very forgettable.

Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO! [1]
Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon [1]
Gracie Abrams just released her new album The Secret of Us, and of course Hits 1 had to pick up on the worst song from it cuz "omg Taylor Swift!!!" Us is extremely boring. The production is extremely basic, but Gracie and Taylor sound alright, I guess, even though Taylor only has 3 solo lines.
BIA and JID debut with LIGHTS OUT. This is pretty fun and they both sound great.
Post Malone and Blake Shelton collab on Pour Me A Drink, with Blake Shelton making his return to Hits 1 after 13 years since Honey Bee in 2011. This is just a good but forgettable bro-country song.
Henry Moodie brings his second song on hitbound with bad emotions. He's been confirmed as the next Hits 1 To Watch. This is alright, it's a lot better than drunk text. The production is alright and Henry sounds good.
UPSAHL, a songwriter who writes songs for Dua Lipa and a bunch of other artists, debuts with Summer So Hot. This is fun but kinda forgettable but her voice is pretty good.
Lawrence is back with Whatcha Want after having that song Don't Lose Sight that refused to leave hitbound 2 years ago. This slaps so hard and the Lawrence siblings both sound great.
BIBI and Jackson Wang collab on Feeling Lucky. This is alright but is extremely forgettable.
Now for the best debut for last. Coldplay make their return to Hits 1 after 3 years since My Universe in 2021 with feelslikeimfallinginlove. The production is a bit basic but still very beautiful and Chris Martin sounds amazing as always.
Exits:
RAYE - Genesis, pt. ii [2]
Saweetie - NANi [4]
Dua Lipa - These Walls [7]
Gracie Abrams - Close To You [2]
Tyla/Gunna/Skillibeng - Jump [5]
Halsey - The End [2]
Knox - Change Your Mind [9]
Genesis finds itself in the abyss. Close To You is still on the survey. Change Your Mind flopped despite being top 10 in airplay at one point. NANi, These Walls, and Jump were alright. Dua Lipa actually gets her first hitbound dropout since Physical in 2020. And good riddance to The End.
Abyss

Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon
Black Eyed Peas/El Alfa/Becky G - TONIGHT (Bad Boys Ride Or Die)
Michael Marcagi - Scared To Start
Harry Styles - Daylight
RM - Come Back To Me
Shinedown - A Symptom of Being Human
Mark Ambor - Belong Together
Jelly Roll/Lainey Wilson - Save Me
feelslikeimblurbinginlove:
We lost II MOST WANTED, Made For Me, and No Angels. No Angels was great but kinda forgettable but it deserved to last a bit longer. I'm not sure what the point of bringing Made For Me back was if it was gonna leave the next week. And good riddance to II MOST WANTED, it did not deserve to last that long.
Good riddance to obsessed. It's down to 1 spin a day and had a huge 13 spot drop.
I think the Swifties are the only thing keeping I Can Do It With A Broken Heart alive, cuz it sure ain't the airplay.
I Had Some Help and Houdini had huge jumps to #2 and #5. That was very unexpected but I'll gladly take it, and hopefully one of them can be #1.
Espresso finally jumped to #1 this week. I guess I'm okay with this, even if this song is extremely overplayed.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
