Debuts:

Stargazing reentered. I would have rather Nobody's Soldier debuted instead, but I guess I'm fine with it.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars collab on Die With A Smile. This has grown on me a little. The production is solid but very forgettable, and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars both sound good.

Eww this next song really did not need to debut. Khalid is back on the countdown in 2 years with Heatstroke. This isn't that bad, it's just very boring and Khalid doesn't sound that great.

Countdown Extra: Andy Grammer/Maddie & Tae - I Do

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Shawn Mendes - Why Why Why [+5]

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Tommy Richman - MILLION DOLLAR BABY [-6]

Last year's #1 song: Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (2/6 weeks at #1)

Favorite song last year: Crash Adams - Sugar Mommy

Least favorite song last year: Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For?

Most missed song: OMI - Hula Hoop (2015)

Recommendation for Hits 1: DVBBS/Cash Cash/Quinn XCII - Smile

5 Oldest Songs

  1. Dasha - Austin {22w}
  2. Madison Beer - Make You Mine {21w}
  3. Tie between Teddy Swims - The Door and Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso {19w}
  4. Tie between Benson Boone - Slow It Down and Taylor Swift - I Can Do It With A Broken Heart {17w}
  5. Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy) {16w}

I fixed the number of weeks for some of the songs. Austin is actually one week older than Make You Mine.

Tinashe - Nasty [Debut]

Also Available to Vote

Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO! [8]

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us [6]

Sabrina Carpenter has released her new album Short n' Sweet, and Taste is the next single. This is much better than Espresso and Please Please Please. This is fun and Sabrina sounds good, but this is still slightly forgettable.

Coldplay along with a whole bunch of people are back with WE PRAY. Everyone sounds good but this is extremely boring and forgettable.

Jimin from BTS is back on Hits 1 with Who after Angel Pt 2 dropped out of hitbound last year. This is pretty fun but very forgettable but Jimin sounds good.

Wow, a rare case of Hits 1 picking up late on a Jessie Murph song. She brings her second song on hitbound called High Road along with Koe Wetzel who had that Wasted hitbound dropout last year. This is a rare actually listenable song from her. The production is solid and they both sound good.

Hits 1 is extremely late with this last song. Nasty has been charting for over a month now, it's about damn time Hits 1 picked up on this. The production slaps so hard and Tinashe sounds great.

Exits:

Hozier - Nobody's Soldier [1]

Post Malone - What Don't Belong To Me [1]

FINNEAS - For Cryin' Out Loud! [2]

ROLE MODEL - Scumbag [4]

I really thought Nobody's Soldier was gonna debut, but instead it now finds itself in the abyss. Hopefully it debuts next week. None of the other songs will be missed though.

Abyss

Hozier - Nobody's Soldier

*NSYNC - Bye Bye Bye

Paul Russell/Meghan Trainor - Slippin'

David Guetta/OneRepublic - I Don't Wanna Wait

The Kid Laroi - GIRLS

Olivia Rodrigo - so american

Moneybagg Yo/Morgan Wallen - WHISKEY WHISKEY

Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay

Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO!

Pitbull/Ne-Yo/AFROJACK - 2 The Moon

Harry Styles - Daylight

Right Blurbs, Wrong Time:

We lost Lucky, Hotel Party, and Treadmill. Lucky flopped harder than J CHRIST like I expected. Hotel Party and Treadmill were great but they were kinda fading on me.

Espresso really needs to leave soon, it's getting very annoying.

I was convinced Good Luck Babe was gonna hit #1 this week, but it fell back down to #4. RIP.

The Door is a great song but I don't think it really needs to jump to #3.

Please Please Please jumped back up to #2. Please please please don't let this hit #1.

I Had Some Help finally reached #1 after being blocked for a while. This marks Morgan Wallen's first #1 song, and Post Malone's second after Circles in 2020.

That's all for now, see you all next week!
