Debuts:
Megan Thee Stallion and Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba collab on Mamushi. This slaps so hard and they both sound great.
Shawn Mendes makes his return to the countdown since When You're Gone in 2022 with Why Why Why. This grew on me a lot. This is super fun and Shawn sounds great.
Debuting out of nowhere is Guess since it didn't have that many spins. The production is amazing and super fun and Charli and Billie both sound great.
Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll collab on a sample of Take Me Home, Country Roads called. Lonely Road. This has grown on me slightly after it first entered hitbound. It's pretty fun and Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll both sound good.
We have double Charli XCX debuts this week. She's also here with Apple. This is fun but not as great as Guess.
Countdown Extra: Katy Perry - LIFETIMES
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Charli XCX - 360 [+9]
Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Madison Beer - Make You Mine [-4]

Post Malone just released his new album F-1 Trillion, and he debuts with What Don't Belong To Me. I listened to the entire album and it was not that great. It was full of crap that would play at your local Cracker Barrel. But this was one of the better songs on it. The country production is solid and Posty sounds pretty good.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars collab on Die With A Smile. This is very underwhelming. They both sound good but the production is super boring and forgettable.
Halsey is back with her third single Lonely is the Muse. This should have been the first single over The End and Lucky. The rock production is solid and Halsey sounds good, but this is very forgettable, and the screaming at the end does not sound great.
Henry Moodie is back with right person, wrong time cuz Hits 1 has to pick up on every one of his songs for some reason. This is alright but it's extremely forgettable and I'm not gonna remember it 5 seconds after I listen to it.
I don't know why Benson Boone has turned back into Benson Snooze. Death Wish was boring, and Pretty Slowly is slightly less boring I guess. The production is decent and Benson doesn't really sound that great.
Andy Grammer makes his return to Hits 1 in 5 years since Don't Give Up On Me in 2019, and country duo Maddie & Tae make their Hits 1 debut with I Do. This is a pretty fun country song and they both sound good.
Finally we have a great debut. Hozier returns with Nobody's Soldier. Too Sweet was great but this is a lot better than that. The production is really cool and Hozier sounds amazing.
Exits:
Khalid - Heatstroke [1]
Madison Beer - 15 MINUTES [2]

Heatstroke finds itself in the abyss. And 15 MINUTES and Work It Out were just alright.

Blurb with a smile:
We lost Illusion, Too Sweet, LUNCH, HOT UPTOWN, and Summer So Hot. Illusion was getting very old and needed to leave. Too Sweet had a great countdown run and it was time to finally leave. LUNCH was a pretty good Billie song. HOT UPTOWN was extremely forgettable. And RIP to Summer So Hot who becomes another one week wonder.
Lucky has grown on me slightly. I thought this would have flopped already but it's still holding on for some reason.
Hits 1 please please please thank you for letting Please Please Please get blocked from #1.
Good Luck, Babe has jumped to #2. Hopefully this can get #1 and doesn't end up getting blocked.
A Bar Song remains the #1 song for a third week. It's a great song, but I think it's time for another song to reach #1 now.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
