Debuts:
Coldplay is back after feelslikeimfallinginlove flopped with a song that will probably flop just as hard, WE PRAY. This has grown on me slightly. The production is really cool and everyone sounds great, but this is slightly forgettable.
Kesha finally makes her first appearance on the countdown in 4 years since Raising Hell in 2020 with JOYRIDE. This has grown on me a lot. This is super fun and Kesha sounds great as always.
We get our first Sunday Best since Not My Fault on Dec 30, 2023. Benson Boone debuts with Pretty Slowly even though it's still on hitbound. Godson Boone really did not need to go back to Benson Snooze. The production is alright but it's super uninteresting and Benson doesn't really sound that good.
Sabrina Carpenter is back with a song that will probably be #1 for multiple weeks Taste. This is easily her best song from Short n' Sweet. This is pretty fun and Sabrina sounds good, but this is very forgettable. Let's hope this doesn't get as annoying as Espresso and Please Please Please, but in all honesty it most certainly will.
It's about damn time this song debuted. Chappell Roan's HOT TO GO finally debuts after spending 10 weeks in the abyss. This is easily her best song so far. The cheerleader-style pop production is super fun and Chappell sounds amazing as always.
Countdown Extra: Beabadoobee - Beaches
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Khalid - Heatstroke [+8]
Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Teddy Swims - The Door [-4]
Last year's #1 song: Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (3/6 weeks at #1)
Favorite song last year: Benson Boone - In The Stars
Least favorite song last year: Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For?
Most missed song: LMFAO - Sorry For Party Rocking (2011)
Recommendation for Hits 1: Zedd/John Mayer - Automatic Yes

Myles Smith is back with another song Wait for You. This is slightly better than Stargazing. This is pretty fun and he sounds good but this is still very forgettable.
Girl group KATSEYE is back with Touch. This is slightly better than Debut. The production is fun and everyone sounds good but this too is very forgettable.
Addison Rae is back on Hits 1 with Diet Pepsi after Obsessed dropped out of hitbound in 2021. She sounds good but the production is very boring and forgettable.

Diet Blurbs:
We lost Espresso, Risk, Million Dollar Baby, Predator, and Whoops. Good riddance to Espresso, one of the most annoying songs of the year. Million Dollar Baby deserved better. Risk was just another Gracie Midbrams song. Predator was great but kinda faded on me. And Whoops really didn't need to reenter after it left the first time.
Heatstroke really did not need to have a huge jump.
How is Guess still here? It only gets 2 spins a day.
Gracie Abrams finally gets her first ever top 10 song on the countdown.
I Had Some Help is still blocking Please Please Please after Please Please Please dropped a little in airplay. Hopefully I Had Some Help can keep blocking it but it's probably only a matter of time before Please Please Please finally reaches #1.
That's all for now, see you all next week!
