Countdown Extra: golden hour - JVKE
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Grand - Kane Brown (+11). Ok then, this had the biggest drop last week now the biggest jump this week. Did this really need to jump? It's super forgettable.
Biggest...DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Glimpse Of Us - Joji ⛪ (-10). This has been dropping a lot in airplay, so hopefully it leaves soon.
Last year's #1 song: STAY - The Kid LAROI/Justin Bieber (1/6 weeks at #1)
Favorite song last year: 90s Kids - Jax
Least favorite song last year: I GUESS I'M IN LOVE - Clinton Kane
Most missed countdown song: Crazy Possessive - Kaci Battaglia (2009)
Most missed hitbound dropout: Miss America - Jax (2011)
Debuts:
Louis Tomlinson's back after 2 years, with Bigger Than Me. This song's fine, but not super memorable. Don't Let It Break Your Heart was way better.
Ava Max has a second song on the countdown with Million Dollar Baby. This is way better than Maybe You're The Problem. This samples Can't Fight The Moonlight by LeAnn Rimes. This song's super fun and way less annoying than Maybe You're The Problem.
Hitbound:
29 - Demi Lovato
Staying Alive - DJ Khaled/Drake/Lil Baby (re-entry)
Emotional - Ashe
I'm Good (Blue) - David Guetta/Bebe Rexha (Debut)
Dutton Ranch Freestyle - David Morris (Debut)
All She Wanna Do - John Legend/Saweetie
I Remember - Cheat Codes/Russell Dickerson
Smells Like Me - Charlie Puth (Debut)
sun and moon - anees
golden hour - JVKE
Forget Me - Lewis Capaldi (Debut)
rain rain go away - Havanna Winter
curious/furious - WILLOW (Debut)
Run Away to Mars - TALK
BILLIE EILISH. - Armani White
Sting - FLETCHER (Debut)
Did Staying Alive really need to re-enter? I'm fine with it, I guess.
Yes, this next song is amazing and I'm glad it finally entered hitbound. It's I'm Good by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha. This samples Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65. The sample sounds amazing and Bebe Rexha sounds great.
When I saw a country rap song entered hitbound, I was not thrilled. Then I heard it and it was better than I expected. It's Dutton Ranch Freestyle by David Morris. The production is really cool and David Morris' rapping sounds great.
Charlie Puth's back with Smells Like Me. The production isn't super memorable, but Charlie sounds great.
Lewis Capaldi (or the Pencil Sharpener according to Waffle) is back after 2 years with Forget Me. I absolutely despised Someone You Loved, Hold Me While You Wait, and Before You Go, so I was not happy he was making new music. This song's good, but not great. The production is upbeat but forgettable, and Lewis Capaldi still sounds like a pencil sharpener.
WILLOW's back with curious/furious. This one's alright. It's just not that interesting and WILLOW's oversinging a bit in some parts. Transparent soul from last year was better.
Do we really need more Fletcher, she kinda sucks. She's back with Sting. Becky's So Hot was super forgettable, and this is somehow even more forgettable. The production isn't that interesting and Fletcher sounds boring.
Exits:
Heaven - Bazzi
dead inside - blackbear
Cross Your Mind - ROLE MODEL
None of these songs were that great, so I'm not that sad they're gone.
Abyss:
Unstoppable - Sia
Bad Decisions - Benny Blanco/BTS/Snoop Dogg
Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush 👵
Come Back Home - Sofia Carson
WAIT FOR U - Future/Drake/Tems
Die For You - The Weeknd
Can't Stop Us Now - Pitbull/Zac Brown
die first - Nessa Barrett
Wasted On You - Morgan Wallen 🤠
Power (Remember Who You Are) - SPINALL/Summer Walker/DJ Snake/Äyanna
Don't You Worry - Black Eyed Peas/Shakira/David Guetta
MANIAC - Macklemore/Windser
Million dollar blurbs:
We lost Break My Soul and Are You Entertained. Break My Soul got super annoying and Are You Entertained wasn't that great, so I'm glad they're gone.
Did Devil Doesn't Bargain need to jump 5 spots? This song really sucks.
Easy Lover finally entered the top 10.
It seems like I Like You (A Happier Song) got played every five minutes last week, yet it dropped 2 spots.
Did the 🤡 really need to be #1 again this week? Hopefully with Left And Right jumping to #2, it can dethrone it next week.
Bye for now, see you all next week.
